Even though it's not actually celebrated here (not properly, just adopted by candy companies in the last few years), Happy Halloween to my US friends! This morning Ada and I went to baby bop in town (baby music etc at the local library) and it was dress ups for Halloween, so here is Ada dressed as a ladybug!

When I clicked Guido's link it took me right to it. When I copied and pasted the other one it took me to a page that gave me websites to choose from. I didn't know what I was looking for. I got bored pretty quick listening to the same thing over and over but you can't deny the guy his skill. I've never seen or heard anyone play that fast. There were a few seconds where I was wondering if it was faked he was playing so fast. Thanks for sharing.

Huh, interesting effect. While you were right in that it is not my particular cup of tea, the crowd seemed really into it (and, yes, the bandmembers almost seemed to trip over one another!). Those water drums must be strong as one guy had a foot on one and the bass player had his instrument IN the water. Perhaps no water left but still didn't seem right to be putting an electric guitar in water.
Hey, he lived. Cool effect, as I said. Especially from the angle you captured.

I'm not expecting you to like the song just watch the first 2 or 3 minutes. If you do watch the whole song the second part of it is the best.(to me). The song is "43/Kill Tomorrow". This is one of my (more)favorite songs from these guys. (my last video of these two shows)

I agree. That kid looked like he was having a blast!
Does the water drum have any special effect in terms of percussion other than looking cool (and probably dampening the sound?).

I'm sure not too many care about that so don't worry there are no reviews. I'm posting a video though and I'm hoping some here will take the time to watch the first two minutes. The song is "Empty Spaces(pink floyd)/Born Of Desire". The first two minutes (Empty Spaces) features a 7 or 8(?) yr. old kid playing one of the water drums. The kid is so cool and watch him work the crowd. I think this is good stuff. Hope some agree.

I was sitting in the Walmart parking lot a while back listening to the radio with the windows down because the weather was nice. They played a song by Mushroomhead so I cranked it up pretty loud and it sounded good. Got a few strange looks though. Ha! Can't remember the name of the song. |

This will be the last one unless someone requests one. (yeah' I know ...so this will be the last one right?)(lol) I'm only putting this up in case someone would like to see them without their gear on. "Mushroomhead Unmasked". I got this from the soundcheck.

Either way, I'd laugh.

I can vaguely remember the same thing happening in South Dakota (granted, I was 13 or 14 at the time [almost 10 years ago] hahaha) but once you got in the caves, your senses changed and it was almost a bizarro world, of sorts...

We were heading for "Cooper's Rock" in West Virginia, saw a sign for "Laurel Caverns" and headed there instead.Turned out to be pretty awesome. The biggest cave in Pa. I've been in caves before but never a mile in. They have more than 3 miles of cave open for exploration. One reason for this post is because of something I have a little trouble understanding. Supposedly in caves you don't have complete control of our senses. An incline may not seem as steep as it is or a hole may be deeper than it appears and so on. At one point we were climbing an incline upwards and came to a hand rail about 8 ft. in length. From the lower point, the handrail looked lower at the upper point and higher at the lowest point. Our guide placed a golf ball at the top (lowest point) and the balled appeared to roll upward to the bottom point. He told us that it was just an illusion and that the rail actually went downward but only appears to go upward. I still don't get it. Had a great day none the less. Anyone?

I remember that Fallingwater almost met its end ironically due to ... water! Mold, leaks, weak construction. Big engineering feat just to save it from falling WITH / INTO the water!
