HA!!!!!!!!!!! Thank you!!! Yeah, we managed to get through it. I cannot lift heavy objects so I ended up wrapping cable and whatnot. We have a gigantic PA system and I could not handle that! Lots of equipment for such a little band!!

A very happy MAN-BOOB Monday to all!! Yes, I am "alive", albeit in pretty bad shape. Saturday night took a lot out of me and (of course) our "roadie" help did not show on Sunday to get the equipment packed and moved so WE had to handle it....Grrrrr..... I am flat OUT today. Feel like poo-poo. In any event, GREAT to see GEEEEEDO back with us after his adventure in snowland. Love the pics. Below is a shot from the show Saturday. We had just finished our final set. Hi guys! I'm super stoked cos today, during a day trip down to the capital city (helping a friend out) I ambled in to a record store I randomly found and got myself a copies of Screaming For Vengeance and Unleashed In The East on vinyl!!!! I was so excited that I found them - my first vinyl albums LOL! They also had Priest Live and Rocka Rolla but I could only buy two damnit. They also had some cool looking vinyl single. An awesome awesome shop, and I am pleased with my finds lol. SFV is in good condition, the cover is a bit worn but nothing horrible. UITE is in very good condition.

I believe the Princess is already in the "planning" stages of our annual vacations. I think we will avoid 'Frisco this year. I would much prefer going south to San Diego again. LOVE that place! I think we are going to Laughlin for a couple days next month, too. THAT should prove interesting. Really not much to do there for someone like me. Don't drink. Don't gamble. **YAAAAAWN** Oh well, we'll see.

Hope you all have a GREAT weekend. I have a show tonight so it is quite likely that there will be pics available tomorrow!! HA!!!!!!!!!!  As for now, I need to eat and get ready to go start loading gear. Fortunately, I have a "roadie" and will not be lifting!  So pleased for you Becks.  I left school in a quandary, I remember.  Found it difficult to settle to anything.  I decided I needed a career and not a job.  I eventually went to university as a 'mature' student, managed 'on the bread line', still have the occasional nightmare about that.  My career has totally occupied me, so stressful, but found I do well on 'the

Yay it's friday here! And I have some exciting news for you all! Most of you will know how I have been struggling for over year to get a job with any significant hours, in the area of laboratory work. Well, I got a phone message the other day from a guy at my work saying my details had been given to him and I was highly spoken of etc and that he wanted to talk to me about a possible job working on a project in the microbiology department. So I rang him back and we arranged to meet this afternoon. So I went in and all went well! He is passing my details to the contractor who is doing the work, I will meet with the boss there and then they will draw up a contract for me! It's only 20 hours a week (job sharing with someone who the contractor doesn't want to let go of) BUT he is going to try and sort out that I get paid $25 an hour!!!! I'm absolutely stoked, even though it's not full time, because I will still be doing my other few hours of work with the cheese people, it'll amount to about 3 full time days a week, working in the mornings every day. Plus it's doing microbiology lab work, and being in a lab is what I've wanted all this time. I am so excited and hopefully all goes well when I meet the contractor. Finally my patience has paid off!

Ok, so it's a cold. One thing that WILL work. Zytec D, you know the stuff you have to show ID at the pharmacy counter to get these days?! Will dry you up in 3 doses. Almost gaurentee it! Does wonders for me and it does not cause drowsiness. Try it! You'll like it!

Advice for deep freeze & princess :-

No cure for colds -
Rest & sleep is required.   Drink fluids, as much as possible, especially water.  Keep warm - stay in an even warm
temperature.  Give yourselves time to get over it, then nobody is else is likely to catch it from you.  Incubation period
for colds, influenza is about 3 days.

Oh no! You've still got it? That sucks big time!

I did a 110km cycle race on Sunday with a stomach bug and it was hell! The only thing I could keep down was coke. I have never drank that much coke in my life before! I stopped at every hydration station and loaded up on a cup lol. The wind was gale force again this year but that bout of gastro was hell! I'll take sun exposure over that anyday! I hope you get better soon Freeze xx


Oh and I still have emotional suffering from the state of the porta potties.. not cool, so not cool lol.

And 81F? Thats, about 28.. ish... (I have to think about it- everyone uses celcius over here). Don't think I'll be feeling those kind of temperatures til I head off to Greece in June, but I can't knock the weather over here, after an incredibly long cold winter we are finally seeing some warm sunshine, in fact its all gone a little crazy as all the spring flowers that would normally flower one after the other (snowdrops, crocus, daffs) have suddenly come out all at once. Every park and garden I pass looks amazing, if a little strange.

Thanks Becks, Spa. It was totally crazy, I'm still pretty tired, had about six hours sleep in three days. Totally worth it, mind.

I certainly did have a good (and very long) weekend! Hammerfest was utterly mind-blowing, too many highlights to tell without taking up the whole board- particular ones include Devildriver completely OWNING Friday night even over 5FDP and (in my opinion) Napalm Death, getting to hold Dean Pleasants (Suicidal Tendencies) guitar, Rise to Remain getting a Wall of Death on at midday, Attica Rage covering Fear of the Dark, watching Sabaton at 2 in the morning... oh man I could go on and on...

 

Getting back to a weekday frame of mind is going to be hard, still its only this week then the easter holidays  This year is certainly going fast.

I think it's funny that everytime someone doesn't like someone else's music they post that it sucks.
Everyone is such an expert as to what's good and what isn't. Please, spare me. It's all opinion and the great
thing about that is an opinion only matters to the person giving it. I'm going to enjoy Rob Zombie, Godsmack,
Limp Bizkit, Three days Grace, Mastodon, Slash, and others. Admittedly some of the line up may be a little weak
but there are 38 bands over two days. You don't have to watch them all. Some of the people on here who complain 
about troublemakers are the ones throwing the most shit. You guys are way to freakin' negative towards everything
different than you. Lighten up and realize the world does not revolve around you.
