I dunno, there is a certain logic to having a mumbling fool who makes no sense as president.

Robs lead improved slightly over night, the prince of Darkness did not win the dark here.

up next looks to be Lemmy beating rob zombie, either Rob or ozzy should win that although one of them knocked off Bruce Dickinson

Ozzy shouldn't be president simply because it'd mean Sharon would end up being the real prez!

Thinking the same thing. Since I voted last night to this morning, Rob had dropped significantly. I almost emailed webby to update the link!

It shouldn't be getting this close. A GOD vs. a Prince. Voting every hour!

Damn straight, DF. While I can't get most games here without paying extra (and, heck, who but old people sit around to watch baseball every day anyway?...HAAA!!), the Tigers didn't have it going from the get-go. Ah well, them's the breaks. At least someone (you!) might remember the very first "JP roaming necklace" pic I ever posted. World Series with me and Mikey at the World Series in 2006. Yeah, lost then too...

(strike up tune "Memories")

Forgive me for pointing out the obvious but, the Detroit Tigers (as we know them) did not even show up for this Series. Dominated on every level AND missed every real break. Pitchers were weak, hitters did not deliver, defense refused to execute.

REALLY was rooting for them. My condolences to my dear friend Guido. I am sure you are in a "funk" over this. Such a GREAT season they had!! Shame they could not carry that momentum into this "big dance".

Thinking of everyone along the east coast of the USA! Looks like that storm is causing some major havoc and damage.

@guido hopefully we dont have to wait 6 years again!

Is it too late to say how much more I want the Cardinals to beat the Giants?

Damn. I so wanted to hear Aretha sing too. Ah well, ended with Cabrera. Couldn't ask for more (but DAMN surprising!).
[guidogodoy] Sunday, October 28, 2012 9:11:32 PM
Just as I was about to say that the SF pitching has been superb and Fielder has now gone 1-13, Young HR and then Dirks on base!

Damn....Peralta "comes close..."

[guidogodoy] Saturday, October 27, 2012 11:16:56 PM
Bleah! Not exactly the result i wanted at home either. As was said a hundred times during the game, the pitching was better but the Tigers couldn't string too many hits together!
What the heck is up with their big hitters?!

[guidogodoy] Thursday, October 25, 2012 1:37:47 PM
HA! While I haven't "jumped" by a longshot, I have been chatting this over with friends and family. We ALL have some advice for ol' Mr. Leyland about how NOT to pitch to someone. Has the guy heard of an intentional walk before? Why pitch to someone on a (very) hot streak when you have someone like Posey who was in a hitting slump waiting on deck?

While I didn't personally feel the fan-generated earthquake, I am having difficulty typing because I smashed the glass of my tv trying to reach through it to strangle the Tigers coaching staff. LOL!

More than one reason for me to take to the boys from D-Town but, suffice it to say that the HATED Giants are getting NO love from ME and, of course, there is our EPIC adventure of a few years ago that has endeared me to your hometown for the rest of my days!!!! Now then, ROOOOAAAAAAAARRRRR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

You know what sucks? I could have planned a Dio Disciples show up there. They play on a Saturday and I have Sundays off.
It would have been perfect. I may try to hit a show in the spring. I'd hate to run into a storm during the winter. I was checking their line-up
and other than that masked band (lol) and D. D. there aren't too many bands scheduled  that would make me drive to Detroit
to see them. I'll get a show in though and I'll try to get a picture and maybe video for youtube. Peace.

Take a good picture of the outside if you go!

Oh yeah, and get there on time. There are no seats on the main floor (some round tables and bar stools usually sit in back) and the stage is really tall so you normally can get as close as you want. Read this to say "as close as the massive bouncers allow!" During the Resurrection tour, I could have literally jumped up and smacked Metal Mike on the boot!

Considering they were only 22 dollars more than a regular priced ticket I had to go for it.
I was just hoping for special seating. I even told the wife it probably wouldn't include a meet n' greet.
they are only selling 50 VIP's so my chance at the guitar isn't too bad either.

Amen, brother! Been wearing my cap for days! Only wish I could wear my Ordóñez shirt to work! Got it at game one of the 2006 World Series in the Motor City.

Harpos is an absolute Hard Rock / Metal Mecca. Literally was my corner bar. This is what it USED to look like back in the day:    www.harposconcerttheatre.com/

Couldn't tell you how many bands I have seen there from Halford, to Slayer to Motorhead. You name it. REALLY small, you stick to the floor from all the beer, it is almost on an expressway in the hood. You typicaly park your car and run to the door! LOL! Type of place where the women often take over a stall in the men's bathroom when the line is too long for theirs. No man dare cross them lest they get a leather spike to the head!

In other words, it is HOME!

@guido GO TIGERS !!!! i just hope we dont commit 5 pitching errors again and literally  throw away the series!!!
[Budred] Monday, October 22, 2012 1:53:43 PM
Yesterday when I made the post below I didn't mention that I bought VIP for Dio Disciples.
Basically, kept it to myself for two reasons. One, I didn't think anyone would care and two, I did it without
knowing what VIP involved. I emailed the venue last night and received a reply today. It made me
very happy. First the VIP tickets were only 40 dollars. Also they include a Dio album/CD(?) autographed
by the band. A picture with the band with a meet n' greet, a guitar pick, and a chance to win an autographed
guitar from the band. MRH VIP was 80 bucks and didn't include a meet n' greet or autographs. (Didn't buy it)
Anyway, I can't wait until this show. They were so awesome last year. If anyone here has a chance, GO. You
won't regret it. Peace!

@Guido

...what is Harpo's like? MRH is doing three Halloween shows this year and Harpo's is one of them. Just curious
about the venue.
[Budred] Sunday, October 21, 2012 6:21:32 AM
Can't wait til Saturday.
I've seen Mushroomhead 9 times in the last three years the last being in May and
yet it seems like it's been forever since I've seen them. Saturday I get my fix.
The annual "Halloween" show in Cleveland.  I can't wait.

...also, I saw where Dio Disciples are doing more dates. Some in Texas and California
and other parts of the U.S. as well. If any of you get a chance to see this and if you were a fan of Dio
I highly recommend this show. I saw them last year and thought they were fantastic. Ripper does most Dio well.
They changed the bass player and the keyboardist but I can't imagine it won't still kick ass.
...go see this show!!!

Ripper's own "Tap House" (Akron, Ohio) in November. I'll be there.
