I'm finding it so hard to find any good notation too, what I am going to do is by music sheets and try to write some Priest notation myself by ear, and by using Rock Band (as strange as that sounds). I can't wait for you to get an acoustic kit. I am very happy with the Pearl Vision series. It is excellent value for money although there are so many good kits out there. Noooo! You cannot banish it to the garage when it comes! What's wrong with the living room floor? lol j/k. If you very worried about upsetting neighbours/spouses with the volume you can get those rings that go on the drums to mute them? like studio rings? Or you can get those jazz type drum sticks the ones that have brushes on the ends. You just put a hair band around the brushes so you can still hit the drums and it sort of mutes the sound enough to keep the neigbourhood off your back lol. I am very fortunate that my neighbours are either very tolerant, very deaf or I just can't hear them when they bang on the door to complain. | | Becks wrote: | | Heya Joe! Mine is ok, and I think I have worn Craig down enough that he will let me buy a normal drum kit if I get this job I'm waiting to hear about, YAY! As long as it lives in the garage is the only condition I think, LOL! Electronic is good, but I want something to bash on properly! |

Becks, I have some simalarly tormenting/demented albums in my CD collection. I have a husband who likes to taunt me and sneaks in things like:
Pat Boone: In A Metal Mood (nearly chocked on my coffee first time that had a spin).
William Shatne: Has Been (ok so that title is so self explanetory in more ways than one lol)
Strummin' With The Devil: The Southern Side Of Van Halen ( has anyone seen that clip of Diamond Dave performing this song with these guys on the Conan 'O Brian show? and if the answer is yes why the hell was he grinning like the Chesire cat on extremely good quality acid?)
He's now threatening to get something he found on amazon called The Dub Side Of The Moon.. It's like deep reggae/dub version of some Pink Floyd songs.. Scary what's out there waiting to jump out of the closet!

Not picking on anyone here rather I am thinking of my own sister who says the exact same things about my nephews. I wonder, then, why aren't we smarter as a whole? Quite the contrary, people are getting dumber as proven by general aptitude tests. I guarantee the generations who came before us thought the same about our own "dumbing down" of society. Perhaps we are lowering standards? Anything above mediocre is now "excellent?" You are hearing this from someone who chose not to have kids? Nah! Couldn't be! HAAA! |

Little Erik freaks me out with some of the stuff he comes up with... His dad threw away a box from his darth vader toy,,
He asks where the box is,, and Chris ( Dad) says I threw it in the Garbage...
Erik rolls his eyes get up from the table goes out in the garage, gets the box, ( which is full of dirt at this point) and says to his dad infront of everyone... You see what he has done to my box I wanted to save... Then looks at his father and says to him,, Next time before you do something like this again you could have the courtesy of asking me first.. Before you throw things away... LOL!!!! hes 5.. I was HOLY SHIT!! I laughed. Hi there Kiamat...sounds like you a bit of a rough go at it growing up. I went to grade school with a kid who had epilepsy and there were a number of things he wasn't able to do because of the seizures. I'm glad to see you have a bit of sense of humor!!! When was the last time you rode a bike?? Maybe you can test the waters on some backroads before heading out into the public strrets, just to see where your at...comfort level wise. Good luck to you though, it's great exercise and it sure beats walking!! When arm get's better, give it a go and let me know how you're doing!! Good luck to ya!! I had epilepsy as a child so I wasn't really allowed out on the roads on my own, plus I first learned to ride in the Channel Islands, all those hills and dirt tracks mean that I've developed a sort of death grip on the handle bars which makes it impossible to signal without falling off...
Not that I can ride anywhere until my arm is sorted (a non-cycling related injury!) | | ronhartsell wrote: | | Hi Necro...he just need the right bike!!!

I'm reaching out to all the fans out there that live in or near NH. Aug. 23rd date in Gilford NH does not seem to selling very good. Couple possible reasons is (1) this site has not posted links to purchase tickets and (2) tickets are sold directly from the venue and not through Ticketmaster or LiveNation. Here is the link http://www.meadowbrook.net/ Please let's help out of metal gods and get tickets or spread the word to family and friends who may be in the area. This is a really nice venue and I'm sure everyone would enjoy it! |

Cycling is something I keep thinking I need to get back into, everybody at Sheffield Uni seems to have a bike and I would take mine, but I'm hopeless at riding on busy roads. I had epilepsy as a child so I wasn't really allowed out on the roads on my own, plus I first learned to ride in the Channel Islands, all those hills and dirt tracks mean that I've developed a sort of death grip on the handle bars which makes it impossible to signal without falling off...
Not that I can ride anywhere until my arm is sorted (a non-cycling related injury!) [Show/Hide Quoted Message] (Quoting Message by ronhartsell from Monday, June 29, 2009 5:12:10 AM) | | ronhartsell wrote: | | Hi Necro...he just need the right bike!!!

Monday, Monday
So good to me.. NOT!!
lol
Ok so I'm starting to take these 'mishaps' a wee bit personally now. On a good note, it's not thursday so maybe the 'thursday curse' has passed but last night our washing machine decided to stop working. So with a load full of wet washing we needed to manually drain the machine, hand rinse and do the last bit of washing by hand. Zakk had to go to school with no socks on today because the boy seems to enjoy changing socks multiple times during the day. He goes through a minimum of two pairs and he's a toddler? At least he has good foot hygiene lol.
On a very proud note.. my little angel was finally confident enough to lose the side wheels on his bicycle yesterday. He was so excited that he could ride without falling. He just needs to perfect stopping and starting now lol. Once he's going though he's unstoppable. Now his little sister wants her wheels off but seeing as she's only three I think she'll have to wait a few months first. Amazing how they always want to do what the older one is doing?
