Four "humors" - yellow bile, black bile, phlegm and blood. When one or more was out of sync or outweighed the other, the state was called dyscrasia = the body was off balance and usually needed a good bleeding. "In state," or balance, was called eucrasia.
We have to much snot on this thread. We need to purge a lot of phlegm here. The site needs a good "bleeding." Anyone got a shitload of leeches?
