Actually Ron, the cockles of my heart is an old expression that you may remember. I believe it is derived from the latin for one's heart chambers which , I believe, resemble the shellfish Necro mentioned. Yes, I am familiar with them. I just went to the market and picked up a nice ham for dinner tonight! I will glaze it with brown sugar and maple syrup and it will be divine!!!!!!!!! Garlic bread I already have (a staple in this house!!)...the celery and cannellini beans are the only items I'm lacking, I will be picking up some of the other ingredients as to replace what I use and stock up for when I make this again... Funny you should metion that. Last Thursday, the Princess insisted on cooking dinner. She made beef stroganoff. It was very good! I guess we do need to let them have their way occassionally! It sure is interesting how you and I are so similar in this area. We both do the cooking! The wives stay out of the kitchen. HA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I was born in Scotland - but moved here at an early age....always been a stone's throw from the coast. Summers are awesome, winters tho = we pay for it. She wont let me cook today....lol. O well, you have to give in somedays.... I have the same problem with bad weather, my friend. Gloomy days really get me down. Always have. The Princess, on the other hand, absolutely loves rainy days. I suppose growing up in the desert has made her this way. Being from the coast, I have always loved hot, sunny days. In fact it is one of the reasons I moved out here. I love the heat!
