Priceless....in a word....
Just last night Peg and I were sharing humorous/cute stories about our daughters back when they were little...it isn't until you've finished a night of doing that--that you really appreciate just how fast time moves....always catches you when you're not looking.... [Show/Hide Quoted Message] (Quoting Message by joedraper from Tuesday, September 30, 2008 3:12:14 PM) | | joedraper wrote: | | Thought I'd share this with you to lighten your day bit of humour always wins:
Tonight, I read my kids their bedtime story, tucked them in and said goodnight. So a few mins later I hear loud giggles coming from my son's room. I choose to pretend to not hear it. Some time passes and some tears come from Zakk's room. So I head off and find his nightlight on the floor with the lamp shade off. Zoey is nowhere to be seen. I go to her room and she's lying in bed, suspiciously tucked in, covers up to the chin style, as if she's been there all the time. However, the rocking horse she used to climb into bed with is still rocking...
What is a parent supposed to do in such a situation?
All I could do was do my best to not pack up laughing in front of them.. then they'd have won lol...
God, I'm going to miss their toddler days...they grow way too fast for my liking.. |

Hopefully I can get close to this kind of skill too. Edited at: Tuesday, September 30, 2008 2:55:32 PM |
