How about adding some ohio dates ?
I know you just came thru in may but not everyone can afford festival tickets.
Legend Valley ( Formerly the Buckeye Lake Music Center would be an excellent venue,  it sits unused most of the time but it's a top notch venue with a stage that's just a year old
There's room for 50,000 plus ( it's huge ! ) They hosted the Dark Star Orchestra Jubilee and the Gathering of the Juggalos this summer as well as a couple of other events
I would think the facility fees would be much less than corporate backed arenas !
I'd love to see you guys there next spring !

The owner is Steve Trickle,  he's on facebook if you want to contact him

I recorded the Long Beach 84 show off the radio broadcast the night it was aired and had it on a HQ metal cassette which was stolen after a couple of years. finally they're going to release it and I can't wait!! my AUD copy of Tokyo 84 is good but not as good as Long Beach Now if they'd give us a nice Ram It Down show and another from the Painkiller tour.... I wonder what kind of live goodies are hidden away in the Priest vault?
TOPIC: Tour attendance numbers ?
[the highway terror] Sunday, October 26, 2014 4:27:54 AM
How has the attendance been for the tour ? are the shows selling out ? if not, have the venues been mostly full ? I'm just trying to get a feel for how things are going,I want to see the band do well on the first leg of the tour, hopefully they'll come to Ohio for some shows later on.

I like the stuff that they've been streaming I can't wait to hear the album, it sounds like Richie has added some spark to the mix and the sound is more raw than priest has sounded in a long time hope they come through ohio a couple of times

[the highway terror] Monday, April 28, 2014 2:35:03 PM
I like the new song ok. I've listened to it four times now and I can tell the track will grow teeth when played live my only complaint is that the song doesn't have a very wide dynamic, meaning it just goes along at the same speed and tempo without any real time changes or breakdowns, no real climax to make it truly momentous here's to Priest ! I hope they make it back to Ohio for some shows this fall, I haven't gotten to see Priest since AOR in 05 I must see them once again ( it will be #11 ) before they knock off for good
TOPIC: Next Priest Studio Album
[the highway terror] Saturday, December 28, 2013 7:32:55 PM
New Album in 2014 ?
Well i'm glad to hear that, I was beginning to think they would never finish it !
I miss the good old days when bands used to put out a new album every year.
No matter what they decide i'm sure the new one will be a good effort, I have enjoyed everything they've released since I first heard Stained Class as A 10th Grader back in '78 ( yes, even Turbo, P.O.E. , R.I.D. and Nostradamus )
Hats off to Priest ! hope they make it back through Ohio next year, I want to see them again before they decide to hang it up for good.

Saving Private  Ryan is a great film .
the men who fought in WW2 lived through things that our generation will never see.

when I  was a kid, I knew a man who fought at " the bulge "
our veterans deserve to be remembered for their sacrifice for all the rest of us

UFC #2 was my first time watching mma
I never really watched a lot of pay per views i wait until our local video store gets the events in
( they have tons of them ) the tournament style they started with should never have been stopped
once the politicians got involved they wussified the sport adding rules, making them wear gloves, etc.
before zuffa bought them out, i was liking the pride fighting championships a lot more
there really is'nt any real vale tudo anywhere but brazil these days
it's a shame , i liked the no rules format a lot better

the perfect compliment for Glenn's melodic approach
TOPIC: Ian Hill Discussion
[the highway terror] Tuesday, December 28, 2010 6:43:36 PM
Ian Hill is one of the most under rated Bassists in rock
If you check out Priests early work he had a very unique and funky style of playing that was all his own
In the latter years the tempo's the band played at demanded a change in his approach
It would be cool to see the band record some songs in their old school style to give Ian a few grooves to sink his teeth into
TOPIC: Imagery and Album covers
[the highway terror] Tuesday, December 28, 2010 6:34:48 PM
I always liked the Point of Entry cover
It looks like something Pink Floyd might have had on their album
kind of mysterious , boxes just sitting out inthe desert and the computer tape stretching out to the horizon
an unusual cover for an unusual album
TOPIC: Will Priest release anything vintage from Vault?
[the highway terror] Tuesday, December 28, 2010 12:26:57 PM

we can only hope.

personally, I think the april '84 show from long beach arena would make a good audio release.
this show was from early in the defenders tour and was an FM Broadcast , the sound is great !!
I'll bet Priest has a whole Vault full of stuff. It's their retirement nest egg !

TOPIC: Ever heard of Cirith Ungol ?
[the highway terror] Tuesday, December 28, 2010 12:12:29 AM
These guys were another one that kinda slipped between the cracks
they had a sound that was prog, thrash and power metal all at the same time
kinda hard to classify
their album was called "King of the Dead"
some of the tunes were Atom Smasher, Death of the Sun, Finger of Scorn and Black Machine
like fifth angel there is'nt much video of the band . but ,they are on youtube, enjoy !!
TOPIC: Fifth Angel Yah or Nay ?
[the highway terror] Tuesday, December 28, 2010 12:00:32 AM
It's a shame these guys never made a very big dent in the market because they were a good band
Fifth Angel was from seattle and came into the scene around '86
their lead singer was a guy named Ted Pilot .
those of you old enough to have read Circus magazine back in the '80's might remember Ted as the spokesman for Vocal Star voice lessons that were advertised in circus. ( Geoff Tate from Queensryche took over as Vocal Star poster boy after queensryche hit it big )
Fifth Angel had a Priest/Maiden type of sound and Ted Pilots voice was loud ,clear and strong ( he could hit notes higher than Dickinson ever dreamed of .   and without screaming )
I doubt if there are many videos of the band . but if you poke around on youtube you can check em out !!! you'll be glad you did !! enjoy !!

TOPIC: Sanctuary: power metal at it's finest!!!
[the highway terror] Monday, December 27, 2010 11:26:21 PM

I think Refuge Denied was produced by Terry Date

Dave Mustaine played lead guitar on White Rabbit ,and may have did production on that track

both Sanctuary albums were pretty good stuff, with Into the Mirror Black being the closest to what Nevermore does these days

Back in '88 I was at my local record store one day ,   I made my selections and paid for them and when I turned to leave  the clerk said " stick around Sanctuary is coming they're going to do a meet and greet"    I had'nt heard of them yet and left !!!  Then a couple of weeks later a buddy played refuge denied for me . I wish i would have stuck around for that meet and greet but , we learn from our mistakes

when MTV first started broadcasting I thought It was the coolest thing ever .
But now , Almost 30 years later, I see how It ruined rock and roll.
MTV took a huge business and made a MASSIVE GLOBAL business. It took the mystique away !!
MTV and record companys in general are CORPORATE ASSHOLES !! they took the bands and music that we all love and care about and used it for their own gain only to toss them aside later in favor of the NEXT BIG THING ( rap , girl groups , boy bands etc. )
they USE people then turn their backs (on bands and musicians ) like they were never anything to them at all

TOPIC: Judas Priest Drummers
[the highway terror] Friday, December 24, 2010 5:53:24 PM
Phillips ,Binks and Travis are all great drummers
Holland was great too but he was from an older school of drumming and was kinda overshadowed by youngsters in the early thrash metal days
nonetheless he was a solid drummer and did a good job for many years

Chris Taylor, John Hinch and Alan Moore have been lost to the mists of time............

I would like to see the band make an album that recalls the sin after sin and stained class albums but mixes in the intensity of albums like painkiller and angel of retribution
