List the best Maiden albums to the worst

[JudasPreist666] Friday, April 22, 2011 6:20:44 PM

I find it too hard to rate them all, but I have no doubt about my top three:

1. Powerslave
2. The Number of the Beast
3. Piece of Mind

The latest Maiden cd "Final Frontier" (2010) rated higher than classic 80's "Iron Maiden" and" Killers". I like your style and the comment after #15 Fear of the Dark.    [Show/Hide Quoted Message] (Quoting Message by Electric Pie from Thursday, April 21, 2011 2:55:01 PM)

Very interesting....11 members posted 1980's Maiden albums in the top 5 while 4 members posted albums 1990 and above in the top 5. Looks like the MAJORITY of these fans enjoy the 80's Maiden better than 1990 and above. I guess that blows a certain opinion around here out of the water.

 My opinion:

1- 7th son of a 7th son
2- No prayer for the dying (I think most of you disagree, but this album's got some fantastic songs)
3- Somewhere in time
4- The Number of the Beast
5- A matter of life and death
6- Piece of Mind
7- Brave new world
8- Powerslave
9- The Final Frontier
10 - Dance of Death
11- Iron Maiden
12- Killers
13- X-factor
14- Virtual XI
15- Fear of the dark (This doesn't mean it's a bad album. Maiden has no such thing as a bad album)
[thekissofjudas] Monday, April 18, 2011 10:13:28 PM

Rate Maiden's album is hard to me.
There are different ages, not only the different stages lived by the band but the metal world as a whole suffered changes as the band evolutioned from a semi punk, heavy metal basic to a more dramatic and ambitious sound.
I should have to mention The number ... and Powerslave, and after that New Brave World, Fear of the Dark, but I think I love too much Maiden to choose from...

[Brian_Evans] Monday, April 18, 2011 6:27:55 PM
 Killers at #15 ...lmao
[Brian_Evans] Monday, April 18, 2011 6:15:13 PM

Ha! #1 & #2 are post 80's Maiden albums and 3 in the top five of this list are post 80's ...guess that blows a certain opinion around here out of the water ...lol!

6. Somewhere in Time
7. Iron Maiden
8. The Final Frontier
9. The X Factor
10. Piece of Mind
11. Dance of Death
12. The Number of the Beast
13. Fear of the Dark
14. No Prayer for the Dying
15. Killers
[J.D. DIAMOND] Tuesday, March 22, 2011 5:33:33 AM
This is not suprising but out of 13 posts that rate these albums 1 through 15 .....11 members posted The Final Frontier either #10,11,12 or 13 and only 2 rated under #10....Wramirez rated it at #7 and Jimmy james rated it at #8.  This shows that The Final Frontier isn't that great of an Iron Maiden album.  The 1980's Maiden reigns supreme and always will.

[J.D. DIAMOND] Monday, February 28, 2011 4:04:16 PM
I think 2006 AMOLAD is the closest thing to a good Maiden album since Seventh Son but it still isn't anywhere near 80's Maiden. I still give that album credit because of how much they suck nowadays, but yeah your list shows like others that the best Iron Maiden will always be in the 1980's,this will never change because the band has too big of an ego to listen to fans that love thier earlier work.

1. Piece of Mind
2. Killers
3. Somewhere in Time
4. Powerslave
5. Iron Maiden
6. The Number of the Beast
7. 7th Son of a 7th Son

then a huuuuugeeeee gap then

8. Brave New World

(BNW is THE only album which can go in the same sentence with albums from the 80es, although far inferior)

then a gap big as eternity

9. A Matter of Life and Death
10 The X Factor

then in no particular order (as they are equaly weak):

- No Prayer for the Dying    (an album who was the 1st sign of decline)
- Fear of the Dark
- Dance of Death
-The final Frontier

and at the end by my humble opinion

THE WORST HEAVY METAL (but still heavy metal) ALBUM OF ALL TIME:

15. VIRTUAL XI

(this albums contains all factors which describes its 'winning': awful production, worst sleeve and artwork, horrible and above all, trivial songs and non-listenable singer (who is a good singer on his solo cds!)
[J.D. DIAMOND] Sunday, February 27, 2011 11:00:59 PM
Whats funny is that The Final Frontier is nowhere near the top 6 albums that everybody is listing except for Jimmy who had it at number 8. The majority is that the first 5 albums are better than the rest by far.

To fanboys who suck the balls of the musicians like Brian Evans  The X Factor and Virtual Eleven are equal to anything Maiden has ever done, but for  about 95% I would guess real fans of the band The X Factor and Virtual Eleven are absolutely "terrible" Metallian, just god awfuly terrible. It utterly amazes me that Steve Harris as picky as he is settled for Blaze Baily,I still can't belive it.

I said I don't care about Maiden meaning the Iron Maiden "nowadays" because you asked me if I knew they recently won a grammy and that implys the "new" Maiden, you know "what I meant" and this is pretty "petty" of you but you are a very little petty boy so.... everybody who knows me alreadys knows I like old Iron maiden so nice try on the play on words asshole.Jeeze, you keep putting your hand on the stove thats hot and keep getting burned, but thats what punk ass bitches do.

You can't come up with any sort of list,or order to rate Maiden's albums because The X Factor and The Number Of The Beast are equal to you, just like hitting random on a cd....whatever pops up you think its just as good as anything so that makes you invalid in this thread, get out fanfuckboy.

Virtual Eleven & The X Factor Iíve only heard a couple tunes from and never bought so I cannot rate them!

For me Powerslave,Piece Of Mind and The Number Of The Beast are tied cause they are the 3 albums growing up that were staples in my metal playlist!
And to me,that is the definition of Iron Maiden and 2 of the 3 would be sad if they werenít number 1!
I canít have them mad at each other either!
U all know what I mean!

Yeah it is "interesting"  because these people that post thier opinions in this thread are real Iron Maiden fans, they actually have "opinions" of these albums.

Just so these newer people know,Brian has no real opinion of Iron Maiden,he thinks you can take "ANY SONG" from "ANY ALBUM" by Iron Maiden and claims them all to be "equal"?

That is not a fucking real fan, that is a kiss ass fanboy suck-up,Maiden could put out a rap album and Brian would claim it to be equal to The Number Of The Beast because its all Iron Maiden.

What a cocksucking joke this geek really is. So why are you even in this thread anyways Brian, you have no opinion to rate Maiden's albums at all, they are all the same equal value to you remember? Fucking dork.

At least I can rate Saxon's albums and call a shit album when I hear it,you can't say the same about rating Maiden's albums so fuck off out of here and jerk your small penis and pretend you have a girlfriend.
