A great shame they will not be playing the full Nostradamus album. The time and costing to put on a big production will be massive.I am not sure about ticket sales too, only hardcore Priest fans would want this.I went to the Iron Maiden A Matter Of Life And Death concert and fell asleep.
To play the full British Steel album will be great live, but please not another arena tour please.
Hope the Planet Rock news message is only a rumour. .

I don't think nobody was knocking the actual bands on this tour only the greedy arena prices. If anyone want to pay stupid prices for beer what looks lik piss then go for it.Only problem is people buy it and the companies will sell it.
I do not know why a programme for the tour was available.I think it will be down to costing as printing prices ae not cheapThere could have been a poor programme sale on the last tour so they may have decided to give it a miss.

I also agree for bands making money from merchandise, concerts and cd sales especially bands like Priest.Bands like ACDC and Metallica who just churn out crap an do a tour just to top up their bank account is out of order.
£2-00 for a soft drink It is about time they were sorted out,but if people still buy them at that price they will still laugh and rub their greedy hands.
Rob looked good in his bandana, his boots looked a bit too big
Metal Dog hope they like your pics. |

On saturday i managed to get my camera into Wembley.I first tried by puttig it down the front of my jeans, bearing in mnd my camera is an SLR with 85mm lens. That did not work.I then tucked it in the back of my jeans. There was no ay i was going to get it through security.I would tell you but it would give the game away ...
At Wembley Arena they search all bags then frisk you.
You are allowed to take compact camera's in to concerts but not the SLR pro type with lenses.I agree this is BULLS**T.I only take them for sharing and not to sell on.
My Wembley pics were taken from high up in the stadium anyway. |

You are right there Senior Rocker,it all boils down to money. It is the same in Sport, people getting ripped of at stadiums. The fesivals are the worst places to go now.In my early festival days at the Donington Monsters Of Rock you took your own beer into the arena. At the Wembley Arena they were charging £3-80 for a beer which looked like p**s.
It looks like the small venue gigs are a big no for big bands like Priest, but i still have little hope they might do them very soon.It is me who is boring you now

What a great night. All the bands were brilliant.
I would have prefered a standing ticket as the seat i had was way up in the gods, only problem is my knees will not hold me up anymore. The crowd was great, saw a few getting carried out at the front. They burnt out before Priest ht the stage.
I do hope Priest play smaller venue's in the future.
Took some pics...........www.carlgibson.vox.com

I prefer watching bands in smaller halls rather than the arena tours. But at the end of the day the it is the record bosses who know best (NOT)who say what goes.
Nottingham,Sheffield and Manchester are too close together,so the geography of the tour could be a problem.Anyway i got my ticket delivered today, see you at Wembley. Edited at: Friday, December 05, 2008 4:54:34 PM |

I agree with Phantom on his comment.I think the title of this thread is a bit misleading or an excuse not to read any of the posts as it may contain jokes about blacks, jews and gays.Racism or homophobia is not welcome on this site.

What is your favourite support band on a Judas Priest tour.
I have seen the likes of Accept,Quiet Riot,Cinderella,Annihillator,Gorefest and Scorpions.Although i loved Scorpions mine must be Savatage. |

If you read the statement regarding Glenn's cancellation of the two gigs it states that he has been pretty sick for about a week now but has struggled on regardless. You can only work until a doctor tells you to stop and unfortunately the Serbia and Croatia gigs suffered. It could have happened to any country so just sit back and be patient i'm sure they will return to the two countries in time.
I would like to thank Kid Rock for not playing at the Download festival in June as it gave Priest more playing time in their slot. [Show/Hide Quoted Message] (Quoting Message by Pupak0o from Friday, July 11, 2008 12:43:11 AM) | | Pupak0o wrote: | | ok...
but... they are getting older...
and you all saw them... at least once...
i will probably never see them... (live...)
i was too young to travel before.... now i don't have money....
all big bands cancel shows in our country... or they even don't come... (hope maiden won't cancel)
we are small country on balkan and we are not in eu
we don't have that much concerts with big names like america, england, germany....
those things happen once in 5 years...
and everyone is disappointed now...
if he was sick all week... why they didn't cancel the show in italy?
they were there 3 years ago...
then he would be back in country where they weren't performing FOR 17 YEARS....

Eyup Kinz,Manchester Apollo is a good venue,i saw Priest in 1981 there after seeing them the night before in my beloved city of Hull. That was the Point Of Entry tour and it rocked.I am lucky really having Manchester,Sheffield and Newcastle not far from where i live to get to see a good gig.We chose Newcastle for the last tour to see Priest as we planned a great pub crawl on route to the gig.
Going back to tt600 original question regarding a big tour in the UK,I reckon the production of Nostradamus will be massive and will only be played in large halls. It looks like it will be in 2009. I read somewhere that they would like to play the Royal Albert Hall in London which would be great. Edited at: Saturday, July 05, 2008 11:25:01 AM |

On the 2005 tour the band only played in large arenas.I must admit i prefered to see them play in smaller venues.l reckon the Nostradamus tour will be played in large venues so if Ipswich does not have a large concert hall then it looks like London for you mate. |

Nostradamus is a cracking album and a lot of hard work has been put into it.Rob,Glenn and KK are very gifted when it comes to writing and composing and this is album is a credit to all the band.
I have also started watching documentaries on the History channel about the great man himself.Looking forward to watching Priest do this full album live.

Dawn Of Creation / Prophecy...Just got the new album today and i love it.Prophecy is a great track.
Saw Priest at Donington on friday and i thought Priest played great as usual, pity the audience at that festival is a mixture of true heavy metal followers and W*****S who know F*** ALL about decent music. |

Hull City in the Premier league hey, this place is buzzing at the moment.Hope they can perform as well as your team in the top flight.
