I am thrilled to see you as well.
I need you to take out the garbage, clean the apartment, get me some coffee... and we will just start with those three for now. Stinky dog? Maybe you should take care of the neighbours dog that woke me up at six. [Show/Hide Quoted Message](Quoting Message by guidogodoy from Thursday, September 22, 2011 11:29:49 PM)

Do you need an oil change? Help taking out the garbage? Stinky dog, perhaps?

Good morning!
You know, you people on the western hemisphere should really start going to bed earlier, instead of sleeping while decent people are already awake.
Vail, leaves are falling here, and its cold and foggy as well. Do you have a spare bed?

OIL CHANGE?! HOLY SHIT!!
There, I tried to spice up the place a bit but I don't think I succeeded. When the convo turns to falling leaves and oil changes, I think it is about time to call it. LOL. Perhaps I'll sit back and think about how much I am not missing the fact that KK is not in Priest anymore. Either that or take out the garbage. Ah, decisions, decisions.

Not much going on here in the Southwest, except that my car needs an oil change soon. No falling leaves yet.

Not at all. Your USERS will have to downoad something. For example, I would need to download the font-pack to see anyone typing in Judas Priest font. Same would go for anything that isn't native to ASCII HTML code.
Speaking of which, want the Judas Priest font? For you and for all. Personally, I wish they could have the GULL font. Ah well... www.1001freefonts.com/JudasPriest.php

Ok, so I have to download something that will fix it? Well, being a windows user, thats nothing new. And I will have to look up which other alphabet also uses "š" so that it gets through here. I suspect the Italians - its just like them to screw around with us.
Until then I will have to resort to transliterations -the horror!

Why only some come through? Yes, I can explain it. HTML markup code only supports certain letters (code) by default. Russian (Cyrillic) doesn't include all letters in the standard ASCII character set. Same goes for those who have tried to show a Judas Priest font here. Such a font set would have to be downloaded by the user to be seen properly.
Same goes for most diacritics that are not part of the standard ASCII code.

Djokovic was ranked #1 for a reason. Some of those returns were just out of this world. I was particularly happy to see that Novak has, apparently, gotten over his "I have an owie" phase where he would bow out of a match with the slightest of aches. THAT was really pissing me off. There, I'll give Rafa credit. See when he went into cramps during the press conference? The Novak of old would have called it quits right there.

Engleski je za pedere! That, and you dont speak the queens English - except if that queen is Joy Farrah Darville Hickey Turner, wife (and sister and cousin, and probably dad as well) of Earl Jehoshaphat Hickey the first.
Maybe you should try to learn cyrillic, to be more like the worlds best looking past and future president? If not a few of those silly letters would do you good. Then at least you could find places like Nju Jork, Vošington, Los En?eles or Gothem on the map.
Setting aside the bullshit, I hope you will have a good time in Brazil - and I hope that the Brazilians dont. They won it far too many times, maybe they should let someone else have the honour once in a while. It is how you start a question in Spanish. When I wasn't using it, it was because I was typing in Portuguese that doesn't use it.
Same goes for the exclamation mark in Spanish, BTW, ¡Puto! ¡JAAAA! As you can see, it can be used in the middle of a sentence. Most particularly after a comma, ¿entiendes?

Anyway - Yes, Bon Jovi for Winger - would work. Although since we are at it, they might as well swap it for the Monkees - they are probably heavier than either, anyway.
I read minds at CET 0h - 24h, so theres nothing much you can do here.
What I do hope is that the new Beavis and Butthead will make it to MTV Adria soon. Right now the only thing that they are playing is Jersey Shore and all those bullshit Hip hop shows like Short Circuitz and all the rest that all look the same. Humour has never looked as bad as it does now. We need the Brits to start doing some new sitcoms.
guidogodoy wrote:
1. No, man. I am not saying that Beavis and Butthead should change shirts (sacrilige!...unless they changed to a JP shirt, of course) but that the Winger could be swapped out for, say, Bon Jovi!
2. Yeah, I agree that Butthead has always been smarter (hey, who pays the rent?). My comment was meant to compare the Beavis of old to the new incarnation. He seems smarter than he should be. I once heard an interview about the Simpsons and, in particular, Homer. The creators said that he should be only as smart as a dog. Another creator asked for clarification: "yes, but what BREED of dog!?" LOL.
3. EXACTYLY what I thought when I saw "Snookie!" That South Park line! HAAA!!! I told you to quit reading my mind, damnit! At least between the hours of 4-6 (-5GMT). That's GUIDO'S time!
_strat_ wrote:
The t-shirts have to stay as they are for two reasons:
1. There are no modern bands that would be good (or known) enough to take their place
2. I disagree with Beavis being more intelligent - I always thought that Butthead was the smart one, if nothing else because Beavis has the Metallica t-shirt. They should keep it that way.
I must admit Ive watched Jersey Shore once. It was after I watched the South Park episode ("Snooki want smoosh-smoosh!"), which was much better than the original.
Oh, and youth of today doesnt have a clue about what Winger is. They like Lady Gaga, which makes my stomach turn. Not to say that Winger was brilliant, but at least they could dress better.
guidogodoy wrote:
Kinda odd voice, isn't it? I mean, it is still Mike Judge but it seems like he threw every catchphrase and clip into that one little segment trying to re-capture his old audience. Does the youth of today even know who "Winger" is anymore? They should have updated the t-shirts.
I don't know about you but, IMO, Beavis actually sounds too intelligent! As for the Jersey Shore comments, I am glad to say that I have never once seen the show. That was as much as I have ever seen and I daresay that it was too much. Yeah, spoof Gaga. At least she doesn't make my stomach turn.
_strat_ wrote:

It is a good idea that they comment on Jersey Shore, tho. But I think that Lady Gaga videos might be even better.

HAAA!! In the sense of humor, who else has seen the new clip for reviving Beavis and Butthead?
Funny but I don't really like the new tone Beavis has to his voice. Yeah, still Mike Judge but it is different. I might be touchy because I liked the old ones and hate messing with perfection.

I once heard an interview about the Simpsons and, in particular, Homer. The creators said that he should be only as smart as a dog.

[Show/Hide Quoted Message](Quoting Message by guidogodoy from Sunday, July 24, 2011 2:15:59 PM)

Ive decided to take part in this scientific investigation.
I am pleased to report that my toilet flows anti-clokwise. Which is weird, because Im on the northern hemisphere.
There are two options:
a. The whole country has been magicaly transported into the southern hemipshere,
b. The Simpsons are wrong
And becasue, as we know, Simpsons are never wrong, the b option is rubbish, which leaves us with a.
That measn that all the natives of the southern hemisphere will now have to look out for drunk yodlers. [Show/Hide Quoted Message](Quoting Message by guidogodoy from Tuesday, November 16, 2010 11:45:53 PM)

Sir Guitardude. Please forgive me. When I say 'bad cooking', I only say that because it did not appeal to human tastes. The farting calf, however, loved it, and what is important at her young age is her happiness. As they say in the Southwestern region of the kingdom where I am stationed, "great cheese (cutting) comes from happy cows". So yes, thank you for playing a part in the development of her power of extreme flatulence. (Quoting Message by Painkiller87 from Friday, September 10, 2010 8:01:40 AM)

a farting calf.
My farting cow gave birth to her some time ago, and after rigorous training and a strict diet of bean burritos and Sir Guitardude's bad cooking, she has become a flatulating bovine monster capable of downing thousands of armies with her stench. Should you accept, she could be a vital addition to your already effective arsenal of weapons and tricks.

LOL! We may have a bigger land mass than Greece, but we have a much smaller population. Not sure what Greeces population is but ours is about 4 million. Sparse really.
spapad wrote:
Thanks! Then you got it all over Greece. Their land mass equals about Georgia, but surprisingly so they are the country with the most amount of beaches, if you can call rocky nooks beachs. Would not qualify in the American "Smug" vernacular. LOL
Becks wrote:
According to the 'research' I just did, our land mass is similar to that of Oregon or Colorado, it sits in between those two lol.
spapad wrote:
Got to say, I wonder.............and you probably know better than me. What U.S. state takes up the same land mass as New Zealand? I'm very interested to know that. Why? I don't konw. I guess I just want to add it to the endless trivia that already occupies my mind. LOL
Becks wrote:
Haha woops Daily Mail! Ah well, NZ is so small in the scheme of distances in the States they probably can be considered as being close together.
spapad wrote:
Damn, here I am half a world away trying to decide how the Daily Mail took that location as being near Wellington?? I guess once you get off your own front porch things just get more generalized. WTF!? I suppose it's like going to a city and getting lost via Mapquest. They will get you there all the way, and then fuck up the last turn! lol
Becks wrote:
Just one of the many wonderful places here, not to trumpet my own country LOL but I love NZ, there's such variation in the landscapes, it's just an awesome place that I am fortunate enough to call home.
Shit day today though LOL!!!

Becks wrote:
I just read somewhere that the plane burst in to flames shortly after takeoff, not sure how accurate that is though, still a developing story. A skydiving plane, it'll mostly be tourists I daresay, unfortunately. It is a lovely glacier, I have been there and it is awe inspiring.
guidogodoy wrote:
Just read all about it. How sad. Skydiving plane, eh? I'd be curious to see what caused it.
BEAUTIFUL glacier. It would be great to be able to hike around there. Not so sure about skydiving in the mountains off and onto a giant moving body of ice.
Becks wrote:
Yeah we've had heaps of news about the mining disaster, who gives a stuff about stupid Paris Hilton!
Far out today should just be declared over for NZ, there's been a plane crash at a place called Fox Glacier (on the south island also) with reports of 9 being killed. Holy hell....
guidogodoy wrote:
Wow. That didn't hit any of our news here in Nowhere, USA. I just had to look it up online.
Glad to hear you and yours are alright, Becks.
News really sucks. While I can hear all about Paris Hilton's latest drug arrest 24/7, one has to search for actual news. Just reading up on the mining disaster in Chile, for example. Not a WORD of it on the 100+ channels of crap I have on TV. Imagine being trapped in a hole for 4+ months. Sure makes Paris seem petty.
In reality you take a chance living anywhere in NZ, as the whole country is astride a fault line. It's only a matter of time before an enormous one hits unfortunately. The time this one struck has a lot to do with the fact there has been no deaths, it struck at 4:35am local time.
Christchruch is on this map here, so you can see where it is relative to other cities :
spapad wrote:
From what I see about that section of NZ. It's been changing for years, if not eons. It's like California, you take the chance to live there. Right near Wellington was it not? Glad you were not present my friend and that no major death occured with this one. First thing I thought about when I read that today in the papers online, was please don't let Becks be near that! I'm selfish. I want my friends to be safe first, then I'll think about the rest. Glad you were not there.
Becks wrote:
Hi everyone, been away for a couple of days at a meeting but back home now. Been a massive earthquake in a city on the South Island called Christchurch, I used to live there, and ironically don't remember ever experiencing an earthquake in the 3 years I was there, but heaps of small ones in the nearly two years I've been back on the North Island! Parts of the central city are in ruins, but there have been no deaths thank God, two men have been seriously injured and there have been other minor injuries. Water mains have burst and seweage lines have burst too, hopefully that is all under control by now, or soon.
Well, I heard about this on the radio this morning, (there was nothing concerning Paris tho) and it was a great relief to hear that no one has been killed in such a catastrophe. Then, 5 minutes later they told about the plane crash. Shit, if its not one thing its the other.
He is probably not a member there because they charge people for it. You have to be a member of the official fan club (which costs something) before you can post there.
As for Bruce, I say he was an excelent vocalist. Unfortunately, his voice hasnt aged as goog as Robs, and he never really was as good as Rob. [Show/Hide Quoted Message](Quoting Message by J.D. DIAMOND from Tuesday, August 31, 2010 1:40:44 AM)

I agree,Bruce is a very excellent vocalist but he is just not in Rob's league in my opinion, but its just an opinion so it doesn't make it right or wrong.I suppose if we were at the Iron Maiden forum it would be the other way hailing Bruce.I'm not sure why Brian isn't a member of the official Iron Maiden forum, maybe he is and he still posts here? lol! I think it goes beyond this forum,Rob is the Metal God and metal veterans know it,Maiden fans "know it".
HOT ROCKIN' METAL GODDESS wrote:
You know J.D., I always find it hilarious that when people compare Bruce to Rob, they always talk about Bruce running around on stage as their reason for why Bruce is better.... ? They NEVER talk about actual vocal ability because they CAN'T and they know it! Of course Bruce runs around on stage more than Rob, he's got 4 minutes per song with nothing to do! I don't know about anyone else, but I want to hear the front man SING! And NO ONE does it better than Rob!
As for Rob's outfits in Priest and Halford, they all kick ass IMO. I just happen to really love the painkiller tour.
J.D. DIAMOND wrote:
No,Bruce is not "just as good" as Rob Halford as Rob Halford is better Brian. And so the fuck what if Bruce moves around more than Rob,whats that prove and what does that have to do with the voice?Rob's still a better frontman and sounds better.
And that pic. you posted was not Rob Halford of Judas Priest, that is Fight,a project outside of Judas Priest wich has nothing to do with Rob's aesthetics in Judas Priest. From the "end" of the 1978 Stained Class tour till 2010 Rob has supported a 100% total "metal" aesthetic (except for the Turbo tour) while he was in Judas Priest. Bruce is extremely boring from the visual point of things.
Rob looks anything but boring, even if you don't care for his modern day look, his long black leather coats with tons of studs and spikes on them, his black leather pants, vests, with studs,boots,gloves,ect...still looks "metal" and looks "cool" on stage and in photos ect...you can beg to differ but just an observation, your the only individual on this website and off that has ever disliked Rob's current look/image,we have all said we liked other outfits better, but nobody has ever complained about his "metal" image these days, your the only one so he must be doing something right.
Brian_Evans wrote:
Bruce is one of the best frontmen of all time. Juat as good as Rob Halford, not saying he's better but just as good. Actually he moves around more than Halford does. You can look back at that pic. I posted of Rob Halford in fight and see he looked totally unmetal. Yeah I know its not Priest but its still Rob Halford.
