Yeah I'm not even sure if anyone can even register an account here anymore ha. Fine by us it's been the regulars posting here the majority anyways. I do miss missing members like spa...SPA WHERE ARE YOU?? HRMG too.
"Nice to see you here again too Budred".
Man... I'm still in a state of shock at how GREAT Firepower actually is. And seeing them live was breath taking. Very good live band too,a very well oiled running machine.
God damn guido Firepower is SUPERB and I still can't get over Glenn's slide guitar solo in Flame Thrower!!!
Hey guido thanks for the thread man... lol been here since January 1st 2005 and stuck in the newbie threads ha ha.
Yeah this is the exception for making a new thread lol.
My Hammerfall thread waa mainly to irritate snot...as was Saxon to irritate Brian shit headed Evans lol. Do I love Hammerfall? Hell yeah but thier not the 3rd best heavy metal act of all time but it sure chapped snot lol.
Great band though I did not like thier last album Built To Last. They will churn out a masterpiece sooner or later.
Saxon however is one of my favorites though with good reason.
Anyways great thread ..... I feel like I'm home again lol
I almost named this "A thread for JD!" There, I think this is just about the only thread I have ever created since back when we had @judaspriest.com email addys!
It'll help keep the "What are you listening to?" now thread clear for that sort of post.
Damn straight! Jay Jay? Seriously?! Who the FUCK is Jay Jay?!? Whoever the no-name is, he is asking for a beatdown.
Sorry, I am with Biff. Dude talks smack about the Rolling Stones, Saxon and Priest? HA! I actually like the company he put them in there. Twisted Sister had what, two songs in a lifetime? I hardly think that gives him any right to speak about ... ANYTHING!
Hey guido,vail... a few weeks ago guitarist Jay Jay French of Twisted Sister was in Orlando and a guy from an organization called "Spooky Empire" interviewed him,so he sits there and bad mouths the Rolling Stones claiming thier too old to even play thier instruments etc...laughing at them AND said Saxon are like 80 years old hinting THEY are too old to play thier instruments AND called Judas Priest a "cover band" because "Glenn is not there" and says how he can always tell when an old band trys to put out new music live cause everyone goes to the bathroom during the new songs...
What a fucking Joke, not only that but when this guy who was interviewing him said "Yeah but Judas Priest has just released a great record that fans are excited about and reached 5th on the billboard 200 chart... and Saxon has released an album too and is opening for Judas Priest... then the few people in the audience gave a cheer for Judas Priest and Saxon really quick THAT'S when Jay Jay French called Saxon 80 year old men and how Priest is just a cover band...blah blah blah FUCK YOU JAY JAY!
Anyways on Blabbermouth.net Biff Byford commented on "Jay Jay" talking shit and gave an interview and this was at the end:
"If a guitarist wants to say, 'I've had enough,' then he's had enough. And he goes home and… I don't know… I don't know what the guy, Jay Jay or whatever they call him… He'll go and sit on the porch in his rocking chair with his pipe and slippers and fade away. We're fucking Vikings. We don't do that shit." ---Biff Byford.
Lofl Biff is THE MAN! You tell that jealous pile of garbage Biff!
Someone not knowing GLENN, though? Damn!!! They were not worthy of being at that show! lol It shoulda been ME!!!
Still, lucky indeed. Glad to read all of your stories. People meeting band members and such. Funny with Rob as I had brought a copy of Firepower with me and carried the damn thing in a bag with all my tech through the entire show. When he just popped out of the darkness in hat and glasses dressed in black in the dark by the busses, though? I didn't even think to bother the man for more than a picture. As you said, I had met him once before with Guitardude at the Meet and Greet in Texas and again in Detroit. I have his autograph a bunch of times. That pic is priceless!
guido... hell yeah man...I read your post too about you getting your pics with Rob off the tour bus...totally awsome!! What a RUSH even though you've met him before and all... still it's THE METAL GOD! When Glenn walked out the place ERUPTED man...I too started celebrating high fivin some fans around me and I looked behind me was a 21 yr old kid that looked puzzled like "what's the big deal and who is the old guy with the guitar"?? Lofl. 99% of the place went nuts though...
Saxon was awesome too man,Biff and Co. Kick ass don't they? Thunderbolt is a very kick butt album, the nod to Lemmy and Motorhead "They Played Rock and Roll" off the new album is an instant Saxon Classic.... such an underrated heavy metal band.
We are very lucky to have Glenn on the Firepower album man that is HUGE and really how good Firepower really is... I have said Redeemer is the 4th best Priest favorite and Firepower top It.
Sad Wings of Destiny, British Steel,Screaming for Vengeance,Defenders of the Faith,Painkiller.... If Firepower isn't equal to these records it's so DAMN CLOSE it's uncanny,so close.... so good of classic Judas Priest GEMS all 14 tracks that it' seriously doesn't get any better especially how each album is different... dude we are lucky to have THIS quality this late in the game. Pretty impressive more than ANY BAND EVER.
Absolutely insane! Your concert sounded great too, man. Very happy for you! A Glenn concert to boot? NICE! I would have written a response when I read your posts the first time but I didn't want to stomp all over the vid but you KNOW I read every word!
My show? Great but the best was that me and my buddy step out back to the tour busses...only to find Rob! Took a quick picture with each of us and off he went. Was snowing and all. What a gentleman! SOOO glad the picture turned out as well. Would likely have whipped my phone into a wall if it didn't capture it!! Once in a lifetime, buddy! \m/
I'm not sure how to post videos from my phone but if you go to YOUTUBE and type in "Rob Halford leaving it all on stage" its live at the Prudential theatre 3/20/18
(guido if you can post this clip I would highly appreciate it when ya have time)
it'll show the end of Painkiller where he sings "Pain...Pain...Killa...killa...Pain...Pain...Killa...Killerrrrr"...listen to how HIGH his range is on that very note... And watch how out of breath Rob is right after he belts it out gasping for breaths of air ..... fucking A man his heart and soul are into this...
I know he can't hit the octave like this at every show but this little clip PROVES he "sometimes does hit the very same high octave range SCREAM in Painkiller".
He didn't hit that note early the first time in the song THAT HIGH in octave range in this clip at the Prudential theatre but at the Showare Center last night he hit it like THE STUDIO ALBUM damn near close enough...both screams in Painkiller and it was even better than the clip at the Prudential theatre too.
It was amazing! I saw the clip from the Kent show last night on YouTube Metal Gods ....at the end Rob hugs Glenn and gives him a kiss on the cheek as he did a few weeks ago...I missed it really quick cause I was high fivin' people around me!!
The energy from this sold out show was amazing, you couldn't fit one more person in the place and even Ian looked stoked...ha ha he didn't move much from his spot at my show either lol however his bass neck was swinging all over the place as he was INTO IT...Scott too.... just a superb show all the way around! Edited at: Monday, April 16, 2018 4:18:14 PM Edited at: Monday, April 16, 2018 4:25:32 PM
KEWL, man!!! My show was tops as well. I chuckled at the "Ian didn't move" comment as he sure as HELL didn't at my show either! On the other hand, I parked right in front of Richie and literally took hundreds of shots of him! Rob came over and....to top it all? My buddy and I caught him at the bus! Nobody but Rob came out as it was snowing. Great moment. Quick picture and...HE'S GOOOONE!!! lol
Concert review finally. Did not have time while in Denver. To busy hiking.
Did not think I would like BSR, but they were good. Crowd was half there (Thin Lizzy in Calgary for Epitath played to maybe 500 by the end of their set) more energy
Saxon was good also. Sound quality where I was could have been better, but they were good, first time seeing them
Priest was great. They figured out the sound quality issues. Richie seemed to spend a lot of time very far left on the stage. made photos hard. I think Ian wants to play behind the curtain. He hardly moved from his spot. came out and headbanged with andy a couple of times. Andy, Richie and Rob got headbanging together a few times. Scott was very into it all.
Rob sounded good, cant do the notes in painkiller, which is not new, and one song (I forget which one) he seemed off key the whole song, but it was a good show. New stuff sounded spot on to me
Rob didnt introduce anyone in the band, which I thought was odd.
If this tour gets this way I will go see them again. Glad I went, Denver is a nice area, got some good hiking in also.
Acolyte.... what a joke huh? The only GOOD thing is i think when we got screwed with our accounts so did those 2 stupid fucktarded assholes flick my boogers and his fat idiot who worshiped him. Fuck off to those 2 fucking dumb fucks....this place has been NICE without them. I'll bet they are floored they can't log onto the forum .... only can read what us TRUE Judas Priest fans are saying. They were anything BUT fans of our favorite band. Fuck those 2 fucking idiots. No more.
Firepower is so great of an album it's so close to Screaming For Vengeance....maybe not AS GOOD but does it really have to be? No. Not to mention it's almost utterly impossible to match that album even WITH K.K. Just love every track.... Glenn's slide guitar solo in Flame Thrower is absolutely kick ass bad ass and fucking brilliant! It's so Tipton it's great....all his solos...
First main solo in the middle of Evil Never Dies The entire solo on Never The Heroes The 2nd trade off solo on Necromancer The 2nd solo on Children Of The Sun The 2nd solo in Rising From Ruins The 2nd slide guitar solo in Flame Thrower The entire solo in No Surrender The first main solo in Sea Of Red
All the GREAT GLENN TIPTON.
Plus dual harmonies solos with Ritchie in Firepower Lightning Strike Guardians Traitors Gate......
A big fuck off to those out there who think he's not on this album!
Saxon was 10x better in Detroit than Youngstown. The first night they had to cut the set short and in Youngstown they didn't sound that great either. In Detroit they said they were recording but they didn't say if it would be for release or not. Anyway not sure if that was the reason or they just got the kinks out but they were badass. A lot of old stuff too. I sat out Black Star Riders. Never liked Thin Lizzy and they are just more of the same. The venue was kick ass. I've been in a few theaters that had cool decor like that but I've never been in one that grand in size. Pretty spectacular place. It was a sold out show and crowd response was good. I would go to Detroit again just to see a show in that building. Great place for concerts.
It may take me a day or two to post a review from colorado. an hour drive to the hotel after the show I will probably be ready for bed. have to email myself a link to the board so I can find it easier when there. But give it just over a week I will post a review here.
"Keep the site going..." heck, I'll join that movement! :-)
As per the below, where is the Detroit debriefing? Heck, I have video of that show already...where are the details? How did it go?
Well hope you catch a good day, then. Like arquitecture, you'll love it, then if it is nice. Walk around the Fox theater area by the new Comerica Park. Stop in at Hockeytown for a drink. Fox is where I saw one of the greatest Priest shows ever on the ROS tour. Another historic building. Just research where you ARE going before you go. Head in early and go to the Ren Cen (big ass glass GM building on the Detroit River) and walk Riverwalk a bit. Perfectly safe. Rainy / cold day? Park there and take the People Mover around to have lunch at Greektown. There are stops at the Ren Cen and within walking distance of Pegasus. Just doesn't go as far down as Masonic, as I said. Hell, you could try to slip in to see the Henry Ford commissioned Diego Rivera mural in the Detroit Institute of Arts right there depending on the timing if the weather sucks. No time? Temple bar! Park and walk to the venue!
HB, don't blame you a bit about Denver either. I dig that city too! Gotta give props to Detroit, though. Masonic would just be a damn cool place to see Priest!
K. I'll see if I can snap some later on. As I said, I only have the black and white ones. Ahhh...just about to say that they look just like THESE (insert pic here) and now I see what you mean...you managed to grab the signed RED black ORANGE black ones. There is no yellow / black (even though they may look yellow). The ones that have yet to arrive for me are the UK release orange / black.
Oh, the Masonic Temple in Detroit is glorious! If you googled it, you have the stats. Certainly the largest Masonic temple but like the second largest STAGE in the world if memory serves. It is a freakin' historic icon! Right on the Cass corridor. Go with plenty of time to see it in the daylight to check out the arquitecture, not just at night. WIKI the thing!! Ya ain't gonna see much like it. 1920's arquitecture at its finest. Take advantage. I am way jealous. I'd LOVE to see Priest there.
As for parking? You have a ton of lots in the area. Just park you car deep so they'll steal a couple before they get to yours and you be fine...heh..seriously. No worries. Just don't be dumb. It is safe and lighted. Lots of movement in that area. It can get crowded if anything else is going on there. Catch some good weather? Head for Greektown for some food! Pegasus is right there at Greektown Casino. Fine choice. Cheap and good provided you don't have a thousand other events going on downtown. All the stadiums are there + concert arenas. The People Mover = the elevated train you can scope out on a map that'll zip you around the city in a big loop for fun and ease of parking (careful of what time it closes) but it doesn't go all the way out to Masonic. Close, though. Take a look at the map.
Hit me with a PM if you need any specifics. Again, jealous! Enjoy the show and the PLACE! Masonic is great!

12? Yeah, yer jest a youngin! Spice Girls, now...Damn that Posh Spice! Scary should just kick her ass for not being up for the reunion!!! I will have a hole in my heart if I don't see all five again....ziggy...ziggy...HA! DAMN! Misspelled it..lol. Ziga Zig Ha!
Masonic for DEETROIT. Man, WISH I were going. Alas, can't get there. Way too far.
I have the black and white autographed LP. Orange and black is coming from the UK. Got the shipping note the day before the album was released but it has yet to arrive. YELLOW and black?! Part of the orange / black pack? Has to be. Time will give me my answer...
Hello everyone. It's been awhile. No negativity just a quick comment.
I went to the Youngstown show. It's a totally different sounding Priest now. Great musicians just different. Rob is sounding great though. I planned a second show so don't take that wrong.
After multiple listens dare I say I think this may now be my favorite judas Priest album. Thank goodness for Tom Allom and Andy Sneap. This is the first album by Priest that I actually like every song. I really didn't think Priest was capable of a release this good. I bought a signed limited edition(500) Red/black swirl lp that came with a disc and digital download. The second lp is yellow/black swirl. They look really cool. I'd post a pic but I forget how here.
I probably won't bother you fine folks again for awhile. Can't wait for Detroit. Peace!
As Bud strolls down the street he looks up and notice's a sign hanging on an old haunt that he used to like to visit. He was going to keep going but decided to stop and have a look inside to see what's up. He noticed it's kind of quiet now but still a few regulars around just hanging at the bar having a discussion. Bud was going to approach and join in but decided it would be best to just observe and listen. No need to interject himself. He noticed on the sound system that the new Priest was playing. He smiled to himself thinking that no one here would believe that he thought this might be their best album yet. Bud holds up his drink and unknowingly to those still around sends cheers from the back of the Cafe. He finishes his drink and quietly slips out the door unnoticed.
...still my favorite thread. I miss this. Take care.
NOW I have some new Priest swag! The signed cover? Came with the black and white LPs in a sealed / separate cover. As in..there are no LPs IN the signed one! I have yet to break the seal on the CD or the Black and white LPs. I still have the orange LPs coming from the UK. I was going to answer the "digipack" question but I really didn't get anything of the kind. The 24 page book is a book / CD. Just like Nostra but CD sized as you can see pictured. Like Nupe said, nothing major but I have yet to open the CD to compare. It is just a hard cover to the CD. NOT a "digipack," IOW.
The closest term in all that convo is actually "echo" however even that term is too vague as "echo" (called "eco" [sic]) could also be the example given of someone singing along with "row row row your boat" AFTER the original line is sung: thus the true echo. INSTUMENTAL echo would be closer but, again, the term I offered, "mimesis" is really a synomym here. The latter is even more accurate for it MIMICS, not ECHOES the vocal with an instrument. "Instrumental mimesis?" Sure. More accurate still. It is NOT "reprise" nor is it "call and answer" as suggested by the posts in the link below. They are just wrong. Those are diferent concepts in music altogether.
Hello everybody, wanted to let you know that tomorrow I will be watching the Priest for probably the last time . Taking the entire family to see them in Youngstown, Ohio. My kids are all excited as am I, this is their first concert and I'm sure it will be a good one.
Anyone near NY city Sony square, Priest have a store/display set up there running until the 14th of March I believe - Acolyte, I will try and find a link and post it and then someone can fix it for me ;)
happy so far with this disk. missing one thing, not sure if that was a kk thing or what,Priest always used to have some songs where the guitars would imitate the vocals for sections. Anyone know what that is called?
Why not just jump right in and buy an autographed LP? Buy ONE deluxe CD in advance (man, coming DSL?! Will take AGES to get here..wonder if my signed LP from the UK will arrive before the swag from Texas?) and download when it goes live like the rest of us? What did you ever do with 10 AOR CDs?! HAAA!!! I may buy the same Priest recording many a time but at least I have SOME sort of difference. Sure, playable one, collectable one, autographed one, picture discs, CDs, cassettes, autographed...
"Heart-warming." Nicely put there. I'd agree with that one. Also certainly say "different" but, at the same time, unmistakably, Judas Priest! Blessed be the Metal Gods! I am not worthy!
Dude YES! I bought 10 cds of Angel Of Retribution in 2005 lol Yes guido I wasn't listening to the album but more panicked that I wasn't immediately hearing Glenn's solos cause that's what I've done for so long bro,I didn't listen to it properly and spoke to soon out of frustration and I was "butthurt" for the wrong reasons.
Man but he does play solos on 6 tracks from what my ears are hearing and it's fucking utterly amazing he's played all those rhythms and the solos he plays, every Priest record is so DIFFERENT from one another like you've known from day one of course and this one is up there with the best albums for sure.
And Ritchie Faulkner? Holy shit he is so excellent especially on this album it's mind blowing, and the solos Glenn plays are so honest with passion and feeling it's just heart warming. I fucking love this record man,Necromancer is my FAVORITE track off the album!
Fuckin A This album is KICK ASS ALL THE WAY THRU!!! Every track"EVERY" TRACK kicks ass QUALITY
. Even if Glenn did just song writing and rhythms and Ritchie played all solos it STILL would kick ass(he plays solos on 6 tracks from what Im hearing)
I was so wrong and was butt hurt for the wrong reasons and after listening to the record on the computer last night by this morning I was so excited I went down town to a place called Silver Platters and bought 5 CDs!!!!
Yep one for me,my girlfriend one for collection and 2 for idk yet (lol) but bought 5 cost $66 and change ... this album is amazing it really is man it could be ranked 5th,6th,7th best of course up to our opinions but still....
I get it if someone can't listen because of K.K and Glenn's old school style isn't present or I could agree with someone who thinks it's thier best of all time or somewhere inbetween... what ever the case I'm reading 95% maybe more who love this album so they did something right.
I am just stuck on how many songs I love on this recording! One rolls into another. Flame Thrower to Spectre to Tratitor's Gate to No Surrender? Helluva run right there! DAYUM! Firepower to Lightning Strike to Evil Never Dies to Never the Heroes?
I think this is outstanding. Better than I could have hoped. In a day when I am scrounging to find what I think is quality metal? Leave it to Priest to kick the door down yet again. I fucking LOVE it!
I think Glenn plays solos on 5 tracks is what I think at least shared with Ritchie..... the album is much much better than what I gave it credit for last night.... this is excellent and definitely rates higher than #12 in thier discography..... definitely in thier top 6 or 7 albums thumbs wayyy up
Turns out the "deluxe" version of Firepower is in fact a digipak. Despite the expanded booklet, there unfortunately is no liner notes, just the song lyrics, album credits and some additional artwork. This is the scene in my room right now:
Heard the entire album and I definitely give Judas Priest kudos and an A+ for effort on Firepower...they did the best they were ABLE to do. Glenn is only on "1" song he solos on Necromancer. This hampers the album imo because K.K. and Glenn's solos were so important to the signature Priest sound, even without K.K. Glenn's solos on 8 tracks from Redeemer Of Souls and you hear his guitar soloing ... But he is reduced to Rhythm here so IF Glenn was able to solo half the record it would of put Firepower ranked top 5 but because there is no K.K. or Glenn's solos I am forced to rank it #12 .... Firepower is better than Rocka Rolla,Nostradamous,Ram It Down,Jugulator,Demolition and Turbo. But not better than the other 11 studio albums. I pray this will be thier last album because without Glenn on tour and barely on the album it's "TIME". Again,I'll celebrate the spirit of JP and glad Glenn could even do as little as he has here. Good job Priest and after this tour I think it's time to hang up the leathers and go out gracefully.

Well, I can't think anything ill of 1/2 of the guitar gods. Like I said, who knows the dynamics, really? Just ME being selfish in wanting KK to have been asked and to have seen him again with Priest. Like you say, would he have turned them down? Dunno. Would that have prevented Glenn from possibly making an appearance? Dunno. Hellrider's (lol) "Three axe attack?!" (lord...) I sure hoped not!
I am DAMN thankful for the album about to be dropped in our laps! I laugh now as I have, what, four versions coming? Two LPs (autographed and non), hardcover CD and digital. Yeeehaw! Yeah, I'm buying KKs book too. Priest Priest Priest!
Guido I agree....i would love for Priest right now to be Glenn K.K and Ritchie...but I don't think K.K was ever interested .... I seriously think he just wanted to be asked but Rob already said before he will NEVER pressure K.K to come back in the band out of respect so not sure WHAT his complaints are. But I do agree it would of been nice to see K.K and Ritchie
Blabbermouth.com has K.K. Downing saying he is "shocked and stunned" he wasn't asked to join the band to step in for his role.... and says because he wasn't asked proves he was unappreciated?
He has a book coming out this year.... I wonder if this is just to throw dirty laundry out as a efff you to Rob and Glenn. I personally am grabbing at straws but I think he wanted to be asked for the simple satisfaction of saying "NO".
At the risk of getting judged by all the "veterans" here, I'll say my piece regarding Glenn's (not so) recent diagnosis.
My heart sank upon reading the news Monday morning, Then it really hit me earlier today. Parkinson's? Damn. That's fucked up. Terrible disease. Reading that article about the moment when Glenn realized that he couldn't perform anymore, and having to admit it, nearly brought me to tears. It's amazing, though, that despite the diagnosis, Glenn kept playing live and cranking out a couple of great albums for the past 10 YEARS, and in all the tours in which I had seen him w/ JP in the past decade, he NEVER slowed down. He NEVER faltered. He gave 110% onstage, and you could tell that his heart was in the music, in the band, and in his fans. It's practically mindblowing. Shit. He is a TRUE Metal God.
Glenn, you are amazing. As if the music you created w/ JP over the past 4 decades and your influence in the genre weren't enough, you powered through with this illness for as long as you could so that we may enjoy as much Judas Priest-style Heavy Metal with you as possible. Thank you, thank you, thank you. I am simply not worthy.
[guidogodoy] Tuesday, February 13, 2018 9:20:07 PM
Yeah, I saw your last post. SCREW that! I am with those saying: mail the tix to ME!!! Man, if I didn't have the silly thing called "work," I'd be following them for the last big HURRAH!!! Sad to have to think in these terms but those whiners can just shut the hell up! Glenn et al have given me a LIFETIME of 100%? Yeah, I think I can blow out my vocal chords at least once more for the mighty PRIEST!
As Acolyte- @JD,Guido,HB, Vail et al, I, as well as HB don't have a date near us yet And we are actively trying to go, little let down people are angry and not going to go when there are lots who would love to go! And yes we should all go because I now believe this is it, if Firepower is a great success then call it an amazing career!!!!
[guidogodoy] Tuesday, February 13, 2018 7:36:40 PM
Yeah, I saw a few comments after what you posted on Blabbermouth yesterday. Glad to read what you posted today. Not that I had ANY doubt!
Still, good to read. Really hoping he steps out for my show so I can scream my head off at least one last time. Sad to have to even write that but I am sure it was an even harder decision for him to make. Still in shock myself...
As Acolyte- NO Problem Guido, my pleasure, the on line stuff is blowing up with accusations of money grabs because they knew Glenn was sick , not fair business practice.Management being called on the table again for suspect actions, people not wanting to go because No Glenn, people bitching they won't be able to sell their tickets because of that etc etc. Not a great time, but wow just wow
@guido,acolyte,Head Banger,Vail... fuck it....I bought cheap tickets and going to the show anyways in honor of Glenn Tipton! I don't care if he's there or not its the spirit of the Firepower album which he is on and Rob,Ritchie,Ian & Scott will be there.... is it still Judas Priest live? Perhaps not really but at this point who the hell cares.... Glenn is on the Firepower album and his spirit is in the band. Count me in... Edited at: Tuesday, February 13, 2018 6:10:13 PM

I am not changing plans. HOPE to see Glenn if even onstage for that one last time with Priest. Heck, I wouldn't even think of said "easy songs" where he might appear as "throwaways" anymore. I would have done the same for KK.
As for the early release date? I chalk that up to Japan! When trying to find what you were looking at that had the March 7 date? All I hit had the 9th. Heck, I got an autographed clear and black LP, another "swirl" color LP and a book CD. ALL have a free download on the date. That date is March 9 as confirmed by Pledge emails.

ZACTLY! Just heard it on YouTube after listening to the lossless version (flac) that I downloaded earlier. I must say, looking at "Firepower" with TWO songs in it now in the digital album has me really stoked!
I am just floored. This type of music can ONLY come from Priest!! Just blowing me away from the beginning 'till end of their incredible career. Ok, all "fanboy" stuff aside? Both quality tunes worthy of a Priest album. To me? I'd put "Lightning Strike" before "Firepower." Melody? Guitar? Perhaps the way Halford spits out "COLLUSION!" lol
@guido .... YouTube has it and also Blabbermouth.com ....already it's overwhealmingly getting positive reviews for the Song Firepower but there's those fucking whiners ....blah blah blah it's not Priest blah blah blah it sounds like solo Halford blah blah blah bullshit!!!!!
If they fucking released THE SENTINEL people would bitch at that too!! It's a joke....
Firepower is classic Judas Priest like Freewheel Burning and Painkiller. How can any true Priest fan NOT like it?
Holy shit the title track is fucking excellent!!!! FIREPOWER!!!!!!!!!!!! It's as good of quality song writing as songs like The Sentinel,Painkiller and Demonizer etc... fuck yeah !!!! This album will blow us away you know it's gonna!!!
I'm actually kinda surprised that you didn't know about it! That cologne's been around for YEARS!
It'll go well with reading the tell-all book that KK plans to release later this year. Did you read the official synopsis on that thing? HA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Yeah, it'll be a doozy, fur sure. I, too, shall be in "virtual line" for that one. (Quoting Message by guidogodoy from Tuesday, January 30, 2018 3:14:11 AM)
Interesting little book. Size-wise too as you can see from the CD I threw in there for size reference!
Stories by other band members who describe admiration for Priest w/graphics to accompany their tales along with creative works, free art and whole songs ("Metal God" or "The Ripper" below) with conceptual art such as the page I snapped below. As one who likes and collects such graphic stories from around the world? Two thumbs up having just gone throught the first story and flipping through the artwork.
