Regardless of what Rob said I just can't see him and Glenn writting another Priest album after this new CD,I really don't think that they will manage time correctly to do so. If they did another album after this one it would take them approx. 6 years to release it and they would all be well into thier 70's. So this is it Head Banger,we all know it won't and can not top some of the classics but I just hope its up there around the 5th best album out of thier discography.
Rob is going to do another priest album, and probably one more after that. just no more halford albums which is to borow a phrase partial metal not metal to the max.
I dont think it had anything to do with the baxter situation. Rob only ever started his solo projects to do more music than priest was doing. now that the brakes are off with kk gone he doesnt need to. its not like its a hugely popular band, just among a subset of priest fans.
as to kk joining, I think that its more likely that roy z leaves they do this tour as a piece, and then they all find other/different work. they all have some other irons in the fire.
and yep, they youngling was walking around about 3 feet off the ground for days. his teacher was less impressed sadly, he got a C.
Wow that's a great opportunity for that young fella! to Rob for giving up some of his time to chat. Sad about Rob probably not recording another album though

So, I have dropped a few hints from time to time here, and got a few details wrong.
OK here is the facts. I am a cub scout leader, and I was working with some of our venturers (older section 14-18 years old)
one of them to get an award finished needed to interview a public figure. being a young metal head I sugested he get a metal person, rather than some local city council dick who wont say shit worth anything.
so he kicked a few names around, sent some requests and heard nothing. so I sent a request thru a former member of this board and got a hold of Rob. he gave 10 minutes to this kid, who was TOTALY STOKED.
at the end he asked about the bands future plans, and rob said after this tour they would get the new album done and get richie integrated into it and get his imput. they cant do most of that without being in studio.
since that is going to take so long, and priest MIGHT (not in any way confirmed) take a short tour with the new disk rob want the halford band out there. so he approached Tim Owens about maybe doing a short tour. in about a month they are anouncing a tour. some of the dates will be sung by tim, but they are calling the band the rippers or something, not finalized yet.
Watch out, because this is coming. Rob is 99% sure that he is never doing another solo album and might pack in all the solo stuff, but for now to keep the music out there this is the idea.
