I missed that advice. lol but good you saw it. (Quoting Message by guidogodoy from Sunday, April 03, 2011 8:37:31 PM)
Thanks. You too.
It was all in the planning. I loved all the discussion / advice flooding in before Guitardude and I hit the Dallas show. Right down to the shoes and "how to get Scott to look at the camera!" HAAA!
You had a nice shot! That was really good.
The picture might have been funnier, though! Heh. I wish some of those were still up. Some people had some pretty damn goofy pictures! Glad that mine wasn't one of them.
Yes, you were better off. lol
No limit on beer?!? WTF? The organizers must have realized the folly of such a deal by the time the tour rolled this way. Probably a good thing. At least I remember meeting Priest!
We had no limit on beer. But, I do remember being disapointed that trivia devoled into drawing numbers. I could have won a good deal of pure crap, had it been trivia oriented, just like when I went to the Harry Potter Book release at midnight! HA!!! I won front of the line from way back for the questions, plus a whole load of pure crap gifts. LOL
No. No confusion at all. They did the same thing with the ticket stubs in Dallas.
I just don't remember them giving away Dio thongs! Surely, I would have won had they kept the promise of the meet & greet email / ads saying that they would be asking trivia questions.
Certainly remember the two-drink limit of Bud / Bud light though! Bleah.
There were no questions, you kept your ticket stub, and they drew numbers. No trivia. Sorry to confuse.
Heh. Dio thongs? Really? I don't seem to recall those. Just the shirts and the lack of the promised questions!
Man, adds insult to injury. I would have been all over the questions and could have been the proud owner of Dio thongs! LOL!!!
They didn't even give away a shirt like that at the Q & A at Bristow. Lot's of other stuff, mostly Dio Stuff. A 13 year old won a pair of Dio thongs. LOL She was embarassed to death to accept them. lol
Rodkeen, does it really matter if you buy a shirt at the show or not? Sure, would be brillant, but it does not matter if you just love the band. Buy a shirt from the store here and then wear it with pride when you go see the show this year, or early next year. They will come to Nashville and VA at least, so why not just do some traveling and enjoy your trip. It's all about the journey and the fun you had when you got there. I drove all the way to Nashville last time and had an excellent time.
Agreed about getting the T if you didn't attend the concert. CONCERT T, that is. After all, I own and proudly wear a Sad Wings shirt.
Oh yeah, I also bought one of those "Local Crew" JP shirts after the fact when I didn't win one at the meet and greet. I am still waiting for the JP questions they said that they were going to ask. Didn't exactly do it that way in Dallas.
I've never worn a shirt from a show I didn't attend. The only concert Tee that I've boughtoutside of the show was a
Kiss retro tour shirt for their 79' tour. I did see them that year is the only reason I bought it. I say if you can't get to the show
then don't worry about the shirt. Take Beck's advice. Purchase from JP store.
I wasn't old enough to see Priest in the 70's, I wasn't allowed to see them in the 80's, I couldn't afford to see them in the 90's and now they are not coming anywhere near South Carolina in this century, and I want a t-shirt at least, but i'm 43 ( I need a 2x large) and can't find one! whats an aging fan to do! Ive bought every album and cd I could find, but no live shows have come close enough and now I can't find the shirt, and I don't wanna rip off the band by buying a boot leg shirt, is there any more shirts for sale somewhere else? is there any possibilty of any SC,GA or NC shows? any info would be greatly appreciated, thanks in advance.
