does anyone know about any presales or codes  for the merriweather show
[Jayman71] Sunday, May 24, 2009 12:33:50 PM

I was wondering that myself about the merriweather show.  It still does not even list it on their website or on any of the ticket sites.  Heaven and hell is supposed to play there the night after that too, but again no listing for it on their site.   What are they gonna make people wait till a month before the show before they list it?  What is this ozzfest?

Can anyone inform me on how to find Priest tour earnings and attendance? I am a Priest nut and for some reason every other band in the world has thier tour grosses posted everywhere but not priest! It may be a wierd question to ask but when you want to know everything about your favorite band you just want to know!

This is not a ticket and venue information but it may be of interest for next year and I wonder if the price for metal concerts will be lower, at least a little bit, thanks to Hannah Montana

LOS ANGELES (Reuters) - Blockbuster Inc said it has struck a deal to sell tickets for top U.S. concert producer Live Nation, a tie-up that it expects to drive more traffic to its stores and Live Nation hopes will quell consumer ire over rising ticket prices and uneven availability.

The three-year deal, giving retail ticketing privileges and exclusive blocks of tickets to 500 Blockbuster stores starting in January, has been in the works since last spring, Nathan Hubbard, chief executive of Live Nation Ticketing, said on Monday.

Long-brewing complaints of rising service fees and spotty availability of concert tickets came to a head this year when parents protested widespread scalping of tickets to Walt Disney Co's Hannah Montana tour after online tickets sold out seconds after becoming available. Several state attorneys general opened inquiries of ticket sellers.

The Blockbuster deal, kept under wraps while the companies worked out details, came months after Live Nation, which was not connected to Hannah Montana, decided to take over ticketing at the end of its contract with TicketMaster, Hubbard said.

The movie rental chain's store footprint and national presence, its ability to "manage cross-country campaigns in a unified manner," made it the top contender, Hubbard said.

"The fan who buys his ticket offline has a lot of demographic overlap with the consumer who rents his DVD offline," Hubbard said. "On top of that, you've got now in Blockbuster a brand that has almost 100 percent awareness nationwide ... so it's a more efficient marketing opportunity."

Blockbuster believes the deal will strengthen same-store sales, which showed positive growth this year for the first time since 2003, a fact that proved to Live Nation the chain was on the right track.

Blockbuster has folded "relatively minor" costs for selling tickets and cross promoting concerts into its planned capital expenditures under a plan by new Chairman and Chief Executive Jim Keyes -- a former CEO of 7-Eleven Inc -- to reinvent it as a chain of convenience stores for entertainment.

Both companies expect the venture to start slowly and to expand to more stores and a wider array of products, including sales of concert paraphernalia and downloads of digital music and videos from Blockbuster's in-store kiosks.

Blockbuster will add a number of smaller venues, including the House of Blues chain, when their contract with Ticketmaster expires in 2010.

Although it has lagged Netflix Inc for years in the 12.5 million-subscriber U.S. online rental market, Blockbuster sees an average of 60 million customers each year at its 7,500 stores worldwide.

After changing its focus from costly online subscriber acquisition to store sales, the chain posted same-store sales growth of 2.9 percent, 14.2 percent and 5.1 percent in consecutive quarters in 2008 despite a deepening global recession.

"The current reinvention of Blockbuster is all about convenient access to media entertainment," Keyes said. "That gives us a much broader canvas from which to work and we believe ... that the consumer also will allow us a broader relevance."

It's no wonder you can't get access to your 1 free ticket from LiveNation--I tried for 3 days to register & finally gave up & bought the tickets--LiveNation is sponsoring so many bands --Metal Masters---my nephew just got tickets for Slipknot & they are sponsored by LiveNation too & also Crue fest too I think --maybe they should just stick to 1 band to promote --looks like they're not doing such a great job.

Hey! Someone who understand MY pain!! Michigander who is now "displaced" in Tennessee!! REALLY pissed me off that they had Detroit as one of the venues to show the Halford's Fight movie. Let's start a grass-roots movement to get Priest back here. Who is with me?!?

Welcome to the boards, BTW.

Dude, you know what pisses me off?  The fact that the best priest show ever happened in memphis tennessee in 82'

and yet they skip right over tennessee in general for their new tour!!!!!!!!  I just moved down from michigan where they

did like 4 shows in 2005 and some this year and the worst part about the move was this!!!  I had no idea they would

just skip one of the booming states and not even come to nashville.  PLLLEEEEAAAAASSSSSEE come to tennessee

Judas Priest, if not then your just robbing alot of fans who can't drive across the country!!!

ive across the country!!

Is Judas Priest playing the Bell Center in Montreal August 12?

I saw a photocopied ad taped to a fence at the Heavy MTL festival last night in Montreal.

I found out last night when I redeemed my free ticket for my nephew that the best way to go about getting that ticket is to start from the JP tour site and click on live nation, then you get directions on what to do which you don't get if you go straight to live nation. So after a couple of bad trys I finally got the ticket.

I got an email from a flunky at LiveNation. He told me the error about adjacent seats means there are no more promotional tickets left for that show.

You would think the error message would read something like "There are no more promotional tickets left for this show date" or something.

Aside from that, what the hell was that error message about "adjacent seats"??? These are LAWN TICKETS.

God damn those people at LiveNation are a bunch of idiots.

[DemonCat] Thursday, June 19, 2008 12:27:12 PM
I got the same error message you did. Perhaps it's there way of saying it's sold out?

This is the email I got from Customer Support at

Warning: It may do you no good. I couldn't even get to the page to enter my code from my Nostradamus CD.

Individuals that purchase the new Judas Priest special deluxe box set – NOSTRADAMUS, will receive a special voucher included in the CDs that they can redeem for one free lawn ticket to a participating Metal Masters show of their choice. If you have this voucher, please visit and type “Judas Priest” where it says “search artists and venues.”
Next, click on the "buy tickets" link for the location where you would like to see the Judas Priest event. You may be asked to register for the Live Nation Tickets Club at this point. Simply follow the system prompts to register. An e-mail will then be sent to you. You will need this e-mail to verify your registration. If you have not received this email after trying to register please respond with your first and last name, e-mail address, state of residence, and zip code so that we can register for you.
Once the main sales page comes up, you will need to select the drop down box next to where it says "Metal Masters" and select "1" as the ticket quantity to access the promotion. You should enter the passcode from your voucher on the final page of the sale where it will ask for your "passcode, member code or coupon code." Please contact us if we can be of further assistance.

Would you be so kind as to explain it on here for others like myself? I'm having problems redeeming my code as well. Thanks ahead of time.

I finally figured it out. Had to jump through hoops of fire.

Got to the page where I could enter the number of tickets for the price of $0.00 (thanks to a friend elsewhere who told me how...yer average bloke would be unable to figure it out...LiveNation made sure of that), and I get the following error message:

Sorry, there are not enough adjacent seats available. Please select tickets by a different method, or reduce the number of tickets and try again.

1. There do not have to be any adjacent fucking seats available. It is a single fucking ticket I am trying to get, and I do not give a rats ass if anyone is sitting in the adjacent seats or not.

2. There is only one method to get one of these tickets. All of the other tickets for sale cost actual money.

3. I am not about to reduce the fucking number of tickets to ZERO.

And guess what? After struggling for 2 separate days to merely figure out HOW to get to the point where I could enter my code from my Nostradamus CD, the LiveNation website would still not even allow me to get to a point where I could enter the code.

LiveNation has screwed this up, making it impossible to get tickets by this method.

I feel sorry for all the artists who have no choice but to do business with these fucking morons.

I have always hated LiveNation anyway. This is just one more time where they have fucked things up.

Fuck em.

And Head banger, too bad you cannot see the show. Thanks for your concern.

I am not. It is a LiveNation fuckup.

I dont think you can blame JP for a fuckup by livenation.  I doubt they would try to trick people into buying the disk.

In the CD is a card with a code, redeemable supposedly for a free lawn pass to one of the shows on the Metal Masters tour. It says literally to go to, enter the code and away you go.

There is no such fucking place to enter the code on that page!

Not only that, the site is set up so that you apparently cannot access some features unless you sign up for an account.

So I signed up for an account last night. After 90 fucking minutes, it still had not sent me a confirmation email allowing me to log in.

So this morning, I checked my email, lo and behold there was the confirmation email.

So I log in, go to the Judas Priest page, and click on the button that says something like "Special Offers".

I get a fucking error message stating that Judas Priest is not playing in my area.

You would think they would have provided a link in the card in the CD package that actually led to a place to enter the code!

But NOoOOoOOooooOOOOooOooOoOooOoOoOo!!!!

Stupid fuckers.

Leave it (once again) to someone to not follow up on the details, and fuck everything up.

IS there actually going to be a web page created where we can enter the code?

Or is this 'promotion' some sort of lie created to try to entice people to buy the cd?
