Reminds me of The Far Side comic with two cavemen and a giant pterodactyl swooping down about ready to snag one. The other, sees it and shouts "AAAAHhhhhh Look out, Og!!!! It's a pt....a pter...a p. Ah screw it, never could pronounce that word!"

Ho ho! Too funny.

Have him outlaw tripthongs that don't sound like the noise they make as well. The word "beautiful" would be a good example. "EAU"?!

Spell it like the Spanish film: "Biutiful" and be done with it.

Oh, sorry, I thought you were talking about my camera. Like I said, it's been my experience that vids usually make them sound worse, not better. But I suppose it is possible, depending on where you are standing taking the video, that some things would be dropped from the recording and make them sound better.

I am only referring to my videos and my camera. Even the comment about the Priest video I was basing on the videos I posted.
I think my camera has much better sound than most youtube videos but it doesn't give an accurate reproduction. I am not a techie so
to speak so I'm trying to explain the best I can. It doesn't give the full range of sound back that you hear live so you are not hearing it
exactly like it sounded and some of the deficencies may not be fully exposed so it actually sounds a little better by hiding or masking
certain sounds. Does that make any sense?

Now that is something we both agree on!   Now a question from what you said to Guido about the video I posted sounding better than you remember them being. You think YouTube videos make bands sound better? I've always found them to not be able to capture the band correctly, especially the highs, and makes them sound worse. I can't tell you how many shows (Priest and other bands) I've been to where I've watched the YouTube video later on and they SUCKED compared to actually being there. From where I was standing at Priest (second row center), my video is pretty close to what it actually sounded like to me, although it did drop Rob's highs since he blew out the mic on my camera!

I would so rather have this kind of discussion with you. I really don't want to just annoy people for the sake of it and this is civil even in disagreement.
Let's carry on like this and stop the crap.

Put the blame of fleecing the fans with their best of's where it belongs - on THE RECORD COMPANY!!! The record company makes those decisions and has full rights to keep putting all that shit out. Of course without having a new album out in years, it's to the band's and record companies benefit to have SOMETHING in the slot under Judas Priest at the stores.

As for they "Helped Rob's vocals with some of those highs", you obviously don't sing, so let me explain - when you sing that high, you need a lot of air and you have to sing it STRONG, using your diaphram, to get that high. It also explains why Rob leans over to sing high, he's helping contract his diaphram. So you thought they were boosting the sound to make it sound better when that is how Rob sings. He doesn't have to sing as strong on the mid-range vocals and so it isn't as loud. Why do you think most singers pull the mic away when they sing high? Because they sing LOUDER to get that note and they don't want to distort or blast you with it. I went to 3 shows within 4 days during that tour: Chicago, Detroit and Cleveland. Every show was different and Rob sounded different at every show, There was no "Helping" Rob with boosting the volume or filling in with backing vocals. If there had been, his highs at every show would have sounded the same. I'm not saying you said they were using backing vocals to help him either, other people have suggested it on other sites so I'm adding that in.

IMO, this was the best Rob has sounded in YEARS!! Many other people have said the same. So let's end this already and move forward, shall we?

I never denied making that comment and the change of opinion was due to the video. I think the video sounded a little better than I remember them sounding
but we were going by a camcorder recording and not something done professionally. My point there (because I know you will take it differently), is that the camcorder
will not give a completely accurate or exact sound reproduction. When I saw Three Days Grace @ ROTR I thought they sucked and mostly it was the vocals but when I got home
and watched  the video I took the vocals didn't sound as bad as I remembered and it confused me at first until I realized it wasn't an accurate reproduction. It was the exact
same scenerio with Priest except I never said they sucked.

.....how can you possibly expect Rob to sound like he did......

OMG, that's all I've been saying. You guys are freakin' hilarious. You don't even know what you're mad about and you do twist what I say.
I did see people laugh at him and I do believe they helped Rob's vocals with some of those highs and I did say that they were good just not what I was used too
and I never said I had bad seats and the only thing I flip flopped on was my very first comment which less than 1/2 hour after I posted it and before anyone said
anything about it I said my initial post was a little harsh and backtracked a "little". I never said they sucked I said it was probably my least favorite of the Priest shows that
I have seen. I also knew HRMG and possibly others were there so why do you just make things up and then attribute them to me. Also, more than 1/2 of my negative
comments is me responding to negative comments about me. You guys don't seem to remember any of the positive things I've said and no one seems to recognize
that I'm still supporting them by buying 11 remasters so far and a skin for my iPod. The fact that I think all their best of's and live stuff is basically fleecing the diehards
is my only real criticism of the band. The concert (opinion) to me is age related and something we all deal with and I have no grudges against that. If you guys would just
stop trying to provoke me none of this would even be happening. Since all my crap with Jimmy what have I done other than have a different opinion than most here
on one freakin' show. Please!!
