HAAAAAA!!!! Now THAT is funny!

When you start to "discuss" anything metal, I'll be the first to applaud. Haven't seen either yet.

HaHA! Too funny! I think you need to head to the Vacation-Travel thread, its more up your alley. You could list your top ten vacations of all time!  Maybe Diamond could help you out on the list. Baha!!!

This is a metal thread.

Oh, this "discussion" is just too overwhelming. I'd have a more intellectual exchange talking to my shoe.

Iron Maiden - Where Eagles Dare (Live at Ullevi)
[Brian_Evans] Monday, March 29, 2010 8:15:44 PM
I would have opened the show with The Wicker Man but Be Quick or Be Dead is awssome also.

Been reading some of the post in Maiden vrs. Motorhead thread. BwwAA! HAA!!! Iron Maiden with their three guitar attack and Bruce Dickinson on vox totally dismantels Motorhead in a serious way. Motorhead is pretty good and I admit that but no contest up against the mighty metal onslaught of Iron Maiden in my opinion. Better Vocals, better guitars, better bass and drums, songwriting, slam dunk all the way accros the board. I'm not putting down Motorhead here but I did drive a 100 miles to see them and they didn't show up, oh well, Maiden all the way.
UP THE IRONS !!!!!

I actually made up the setlist because it was such a hard thing to do, not to defend the band. I was hoping JD would take up the task as well to see what he came up with as a possible 20 best songs from the albums he doesn't rate. It's a legitimate attempt to actually discuss Maiden in this thread instead of all the bullshit that has been going on in it.

"I'll stay here and discuss one of the greatest metal bands of all time that cast a huge shadow on many a metal band."

Last I looked Brian, this is the  JUDAS PRIEST WEBSITE
Do you have anything to say about THE BEST METAL BAND IN THE WORLD - JUDAS PRIEST? Or are you just going to go on and on and on about Iron Maiden just like one of Iron Maidens long and boring songs?

"I'm with ya,I'm out of this thread too..."

Fine! Good! I'm getting tired of your lame Top Ten metal philosophy anyway. lol!  All you can say is top ten this and top ten that, Maiden is a "Joke". You're a really bad  broken record man. I guess you finally realized you've been defeated in here. Go back to the Saxon thread and list your top ten Saxon albums. Bahaa! I'll stay here and discuss one of the greatest metal bands of all time that cast a huge shadow on many a metal band. UP THE IRONS! And take your giddyupgoboy friend with ya. And just because jimmyjames came up with that setlist doesn't means he "defends" current Maiden. And if he does what skin is it off of your nose? UP THE IRONS AGAIN!!!!!!!

I agree,Iron Maiden is a bad fucking "JOKE" thats overrated next to Shitallica.  I can't fathom it and I too find it hard to belive that Jimmy defends current Iron Maiden as well, and yeah I know the rip off Brian_Evans is a shit disturber but I thrive on arguing(lol!) and I live for it,its in my blood, where he and all shit disturbers think they are "getting to me" as they call it,I am laughing my ass off smokin' a bowl because I love to argue HAHA!

But you stand correct Guido, this thread was,is and will always be a farce and a mear joke,we know the shinanigins behind this curtain and I don't think Brian_Evans like Iron Maiden "this much" he has only portrayed it to get a rise out of anybody who will engage into it,and again I've only given him the pleasure only because I thrive on arguing HAHA!! Not me Guido? LOL!!! I'm with ya,I'm out of this thread too...
Oh before I go...."DOWN THE IRONS"

I couldn't make a setlist because I wouldn't want to hear anything live from Iron Maiden with songs from 1990 -now.Sure I like some of those songs and again A Matter Of Life And Death "is a great album" for the shit song writting skills of Steve Harris and Co.,some tracks remind me of hints of Piece Of Mind and Powerslave but I never said that the album "is as good as" those albums. The truth is they don't cut it and they are light years away from quality albums such as The Number Of The Beast but for Maiden yeah it is a great album. I would compare A Matter Of life And Death to "Ram It Down" in quality but with Ram It Down better quality. Down the Irons

I'd have one song. I think that Maiden is now a bad joke. While there is no comparison to someone who runs an internet radio station vs. a radio station of old where you actually had to prove yourself (much like blogs now where every idiot and his brother could have his say provided you knew how to work a computer) I find it hard that you could defend current Maiden. IMO, the current Brian_Evans is a shitdisturber (yeah, two people could be named the same but doubtful). This thread has turned into a farce and I am out of it.

There is but one band to rule them all.

How about a Maiden setlist from you that only contains songs from 1990 to now?

[J.D. DIAMOND] Saturday, March 27, 2010 1:19:43 AM

First off...(rolling my eyes back and refering to Brian's nitpicky post) hey jimmy james.........and I'm the one being fucking anal"??  LMMFAO at jimmy!!! PLease.

Second, yes I do like A Matter Of Life And Death dumb shit, and I said its thier best work since the Seventh Son Of A Seventh Son album and it "IS" a great album for "Iron Maiden" because Iron Maiden writes shit albums one right after the other,so for Iron maiden it IS a "great album". If it were Saxon that wrote it is would "suck". If Judas Priest wrote it is would "suck" because those bands could do 100% better than Iron Maiden and those bands kick Iron Maiden's ass up between thier shoulders just like I do to you on a regular basis Brian HA!

But for Iron Maiden yes it is a great album because of how much they fuckin suck. Those "8" songs I do like, and yes some of it does remind me of Piece Of Mind and Powerslave in spots but they are nowhere near the "greatness" of albums such as "Iron Maiden,Killers,The Number Of The Beast,Piece Of Mind and Powerslave and even Seventh Son Of A Seventh Son" nowhere even close Brian.

I can easily side A Matter Of Life And Death in with shit albums from 1990 - to 2003's shit album Dance Of Death,I have always given AMOLAD a break because of how shitty Iron Maiden's song writting skills are so what your saying again is a mear joke, you failed yet again shit for brains, face it you can't top me and never will because your not smart enough haha!

Just because I said it was "great"  I never said "how great" and for a shit band like Iron Maiden it "is great" I'll take it and it doesn't mean-that I side it in with those elite albums as I've said. Wich is a far cry from a contradiction like you are consistantly dickhead lol! Down The Irons  lofao!!!!!

On March 20th J.D. Diamond wrote:
"A Matter Of Life And Death is a

"But the other 8 songs I really like, those 8 songs although they are a little bit progressive but in a
great way done right they remind me of material from Piece Of Mind and Powerslave."

TodayJ.D. Diamond wrote  this:
"
This is all opinions again mine isn't the final say but for me personally being a fan of Iron Maiden since 1982 I've been let down with every album starting from 1986's Somewhere In Time" all the way till now"

Hey Diamond, so how is  "A Matter Of Life And Death"  that you described as a "great album" and 8 out of ten songs reminds you of "Piece of Mind" and "Powerslave" of the elite 80's era Maiden a let down? Now look who's contradicting themselves?

Bahaa!

[J.D. DIAMOND] Friday, March 26, 2010 8:22:17 PM
Oh god that would fuckin suck balls lol! I would hate to see that live, there are 13 tracks that are listed there that make me puke but again to each his own. I guess I really don't like this band,I like thier 1980's stuff and that is to me a different band altogether.  Its just the song writting that kills it for me,I'll never hear another new Iron Maiden album that I like and can compare to elite albums such as the band's first 5 studio albums. And as for seeing this shit band live no freakin way,if I hate the new album I'll not see em' live and that goes for any band's new album.

This is all opinions again mine isn't the final say but for me personally being a fan of Iron Maiden since 1982 I've been let down with every album starting from 1986's Somewhere In Time" all the way till now, sure I like bits and pieces here and there but I can never get a kick ass product from Iron maiden and its a shame and a let down for me.This band is dead and I have to face it,they will never put out a studio album that I like all the way through again. Down the Irons.

Hello friens,
See you all at the Iron Maiden Forum. I'll start the "Judas Priest discussion" thread there.

Seriously, at this Noticeboard, we can talk about whatever we want.
Once, I tried to talk about The Mighty Priest at the Maiden forum, and GOT BANNED!!!!

By the way, what do you expect from the forthcoming Maiden album "The Final Frontier" I wish it will be as good as AMOLAD.
[jimmyjames] Friday, March 26, 2010 3:43:48 PM
Ok here is a setlist compiled only of songs from 1990 and later. Out of respect I have not included anything from the Blaze Bayley era. This actually only gives me five albums to work with. No Prayer, Fear, Brave New World, Dance Of Death and AMOLAD. I have tried to pick tracks that I think would sound good live. In some cases they are not that great on the album but in a live setting would be cool.

1) Be Quick Or Be Dead
2) The Wicker Man
3) Montsegur
4) Out Of the Shadows
5) Holy Smoke
6) Ghost Of The Navigator
7) Paschendale
8) From Here To Eternity
9) Lord Of Light
10) Wildest Dreams
11) Running Silent, Running Deep
12) The Reincarnation Of Benjamin Breeg
13) Face In The Sand
14) Brighter Than A Thousand Suns
15) Fear Is The Key
16) Rainmaker
17) Tailgunner
18) The Mercenary
19) Bring Your Daughter To The Slaughter
20) Fear Of the Dark
