I always thought they could have stronger vocals. I do enjoy playing dream theater on Rockband2.     Anybody "LOSTCHILD6"

25 years, that was fast. The RUSH tour this year is an all Classics set. Good show to take the kids to.
Yea the Gray blends in with the smokey brown
[Head banger] Tuesday, June 29, 2010 5:43:29 AM
well, they are not quite as old, but getting there.  I didnt realize dreamtheater had been around for 25 years.  watching tem my thought was a 4 man version of rush.  I just dont think they write quite as well.  beter vocals, and oddly way less vocals, awesome drumer, good guitar and bass....... dunno.
havent heard rush is coming, saw them a couple of years ago.  if they come, not sure.  probably not just for them

THere is.     I didnt relate dream theater with RUSH because of the time frame. I believed Dream Theater was Petrucci's Guitar Jackoff Band.  "Headbanger     R  ye   Going to the RUSH show this Year?"

2009 I definetly saw some concerts. Saw Metallica 4 times, Living Colour 5 times, this rock band called the toadies, Crue Fest 2(went for godsmack, saw them and motley crue), Testament, Between the Buried and Me, 3 Inches of Blood and yeah maybe a few others I can't think of.

American Carnage: Slayer/Megadeth/Testament
Judas Priest(maybe the nostradamus thing will finally happen)
Red Hot Chili Peppers
and yea. This is of course if all of these bands play, i'll be there. Now let the bashing begin because I know some of these names aren't "METAL" but there are certain bands I've never had the chance to see or bands I never saw headline but yea.

Saw only one show in '09 (and God...there were so many great bands on the road this past year....wish I could've seen 'em all...but let's face it...going to concerts is a luxury these days...especially when you have a family to support).     And I'm glad to say it was Judas Priest's summer jaunt that featured all of   "British Steel."    Phenomenal evening....the power and conviction they played with was overwhelming.     What made it even more fitting,  was to see it was raining considerably hard with thunder & lightning to boot as we made our way out from the PNC brought to mind the lyric....   "....white bolts of lighting...came outta nowhere...blinding the darkness...creating the storm!!!!"

My only show...and it was so worth it.

2009 was a slow year for concerts. I only saw Opeth and Enslaved here in Tucson in May. Then I saw Priest in August up in Phoenix. This year looks good locally with some great shows coming up!
[devils_child] Thursday, January 07, 2010 4:09:05 AM

Have already lined up for 2010 to see - Trivium, Faith No More, Isis, Anthrax, Anvil (Part of Soundwave Festival)

Believe it or not, that Priest Toronto show was my first Priest concert ever.
And it absolutely blew me away. The energy level was there from beginning to end.
I go to a lot of shows in general, and nothing even compares to the Toronto show.
I check ticketmaster weekly, waiting to see when Priest goes back on tour, because I can't wait to see them again!!!

Yeah they are back together touring. They played a great 2 hour set.
After the show, it was about 2am, and they had to be in another city the next day, but they chilled, signed anything the fans wanted signed, and took pictures with everyone.
All 4 of them, great guys!

Judas Priest - July 9 Toronto Molson Amp - THE BEST SHOW EVER! 10/10

Judas Priest - August 4 San Diego - OK show 6/10

Judas Priest - August 5 Costa Mesa - Very Good Show - Met Ian & Scott 8/10

Judas Priest - August 17 Fort Laud - Good Show - DVD taping, Met Eddie Trunk before show 7/10

I had the chance to compare the shows to each other and the Toronto show was near flawless.

IRON MAIDEN!!! I'll never forget was AAAAAAAAAWWWEEESSOOOMMMEEEE!!!!! shit-allica is coming but it's not what it used to be so I'm not interested...aside from that there are no bands coming to this side of the world...we gotta be cursed or maybe the country is so small that the tip of the pen covers it every time a band is looking for this country on the map...

Are Living Color back together again? I saw those guys live in Wellington, NZ, in 93. It was an awesome show. They were touring their Stain album. Corey Glover, the lead singer of Living Color, is actually in the movie Platoon as well.

The only arena shows I have seen this year have been Maiden and Priest.  We have passes to Universal Studios who do a Mardi Gras concert series every year and this year we saw The Village People (horrible), Kelly Clarkson (great), Pat Benatar (phenomenal) and KC and the Sunshine Band (beyond horrible).

I haven't seen anyone live this year due to money issues, Iron Maiden was here just after I got married and had been overseas for a few weeks LOL. Seeing AC/DC soon too! My sister just saw Them Crooked Vultures a few days ago in London, she said they were awesome!

It's been an ok year for concerts down here in NZ. I've managed to catch Iron Maiden, Alice Cooper, Slayer and Megadeth in a double header and Pearl Jam. Can't really say which was the best, enjoyed all of them for different reasons. Bring on 2010, already got tickets to AC/DC ( two shows ) and Them Crooked Vultures ( Josh Homme, Dave Grohl and John Paul Jones ) in January. Can't wait.
