|Hi. Figured I'd join in on this one as my first post also. Back in my younger days, I also played in a band. At that time the heaviest stuff I had heard other than Black Sabbath was some Scorpions and Iron Maiden. Then Priest released the British Steel album which received some airplay here in Montreal, I was hooked! I saw them that summer for the first time and told myself, that's what a metal band should be like. I have bought every single album since then. Judas Priest and Black Sabbath (Tony Iomi) have always been my top bands. I gave up on all the others over the years but those 2 have always been my all time favorites... in that order. Cheers!|

My First post! and I found a folder with no posts so I'm bringing this one to life!
Most influentuence for me musically is definately Priest! A friend showed me this album "Rocka Rolla" in Junior High- Look at these dudes in leather! I bought my first Preist album "Sad Wings" and I have been hooked ever since! I scraped up the money for the album buy selling one of my skateboards!
This led me to a whole new world of musical influence, such as the Scorpions, Frank Marino, Ritchie Blackmore (can you tell I played guitar?) Kiss of course, and anyone in that age group knows the rest of the list. I have to be honest though, Painkiller was the last album I bought, I didn't like the thrash metal, Megadeath and all that kind of stuff, just not musically challenging to me, jamming power chords I felt cheapened up the skills that these guys spent years honing.
Anyway, I've spoken! Peace be with thee! From an old metal head from the beginning of JP! I'm glad to see them all still together! I thought Les Binks was the best drummer-we won't mention you know who- and I don't feel so bad when I look at the pictures across the years, I'm getting old too! just like these axe masters!
