Yes it is but I, believe it or not, have reverted back to my processor for the drive.  I have much more control over heavy distortion using the Boss and its not noisy.....

Hey man, this "Pulverizor" is some great stuff! The solo at 2:55 is totally sick! Sounds like you were influenced by K.K. Downing on this one. That's sick, man. I strongly recommend anyone wanting some solid metal to check these guys out. Great song.

VENOM - FUCK OFF AND DIE 1983

Heres a band that is not as talented as Judas Priest,I sure am glad that I have Dale and Brian Evans(the stupid one since there are two of them) to confirm this one.

If it wasn't  for them I don't think that I would of been able to figure it out.

I think you must have my posts and Brian Evans mixed up or something. Not sure about what is going on here but all I said was that Judas Priest are more talented in my opinion. Take it or leave it. Shoot, its no big deal to me.  I'm not trying to get into a big argument here and I don't really appreciate being called a "LIAR". I do know a lot about metal.

Brian Evans wrote: "I still say the foundation of quality heavy metal are good song writing, good vocals and guitar solos."

You see what I'm talking about now Dale? These kind of posts spank of idiotic statements, who ever said that the foundation of quality heavy metal are NOT about good song writting, good vocals and guitar solos?
If you or the uneducated Brian Evans say it was "me" than the both of you are a "LIAR". I never once said that,I challenge the both of you to go back and read my posts and prove to the rest of us here that I indeed said that. You can't because I never did say that, only an idiot like Brian would even say such a stupid thing. Obviously the both of you somehow think that black metal and death metal are traditional "heavy metal".

Well I know that everybody who is reading this is laughing thier ass off at both of you because the 2 of you do not know the difference between heavy metal and black/death metal at all and both of your posts prove it today. Well kiddies I'm here to tell you that there actually "is" a difference between the 2 genres of metal.

The thing is that the 2 of you seem to put yourselves in a position where your ignorance is exploited in front of the rest of us here. Its sad in this day and age that the both of you call yourselves "metal fans" when really you guys don't know nearly enough about metal at all.Again, both of you go back to school and do your fuckin homework before you even think about discussing "metal" with a metal veteran as myself.

So Brian,we are all waiting for you to pull up my post where I said "The foundation of  quality heavy metal are NOT about good song writting, good vocals and guitar solos".....lets see it guy, step up to the plate and deliver since your so quick to open up your mouth....so where did I say it?...come on don't back down like your used to doing throughout your life...where did I say that??

Hey man, don't let this heavy metal radical know-it-all put down your opinions. He tried to pull that veteran intimidation stuff calling me a fanboy and a poser (which i'm obviously not ) in my Iron Maiden discussion thread but ran into a brick wall instead. He thought he was going to imtimidate me in there until I left but found out otherwise. And yes its possible two people here can have the same name. And I still say the foundation of quality heavy metal are good song writing, good vocals and guitar solos.   [Show/Hide Quoted Message] (Quoting Message by Dale T. from Wednesday, March 03, 2010 10:05:29 PM)

Dale T. wrote I guess what I was saying or why I agreed with Brian is if I had to choose which band I think is more talented I would pick Judas Priest.

Well Dale....."DUH".  Thats what is "idiotic" dude. And NO a band like 'VENOM is not "talented" and NO they are not "good musicians" man, thats what I'm trying to tell you. Its not about being "talented" and its not about being "good musicians" its about "fuck your god" and being "agressive" with hatred through music, not talent or good musicianship. There was a scene long ago that used to uphold this ideology and philosophy and its just plain right out stupid to even say what you are saying. Its like telling somebody wich is more talented...the Super Bowl champion New Orleans Saints or my back yard football team I assemble once a year on the 4th of July? And you have to actually tell somebody that your opinion is the New Orleans Saints you think is better...while the people you've just told are thinking "no shit.....duh".  Its a no-brianer dude, thats like saying you think Judas Priest are more talented than the Sex Pistols..ect...again "no shit". Its sooooooo obvious that it shouldn't even be asked or compared.

I'm not trying to be a dick and I'm not saying that you should like black or death metal its just frustrating to read this lack of knowledge from you and many others about "metal". I grew up in the 1980's I was 10 years old in 1980 when I first got into heavy metal with British Steel and I was 19 years old in 1989 getting into the first Morbid Angel album...I've been through the entire 1980's as a "metal fan",heavy metal, black metal, death metal, thrash metal and I know these genres very well,I am a veteran.

No offense Dale, but that sounds "idiotic". The entire purpose of "black metal"  and  "death metal" was "NOT" to be  as talented, like talented heavy metal bands such as Judas Priest,Black Sabbath,Iron Maiden,Saxon. That was the whole idea dude,it baffles my 39 year old brian that there are so called 'metal" fans out here that actually believe that a band like "Venom" or any black/death metal band for that matter are or were trying to be as talented as a band like Judas Priest or Iron Maiden! HAHAHA are you fucking kidding me Dale?

Thats like Brian Evans( the poser who stole the real Brian Evan's name)claiming Toxic Holocaust are trying to be like Judas Priest or Iron maiden and are trying to play heavy metal. Come on,you guys have really got to start doing your homework man,I am not saying you have to like black metal or death metal its ok if you hate it,but to actually think that they are trying to be as talented as a band like Priest spills of ignorance.

I'm just trying to tell you because sooner or later somebody else is going to trash you up one side and down the other for not realizing what your talking about so it might as well be from me right? Again, you don't have to like black metal, death metal or those "hard core death metal bands" as you called them, but they are not trying to be "talented" they are about extreme aggression and attitude.

You think Venom were trying to be talented? Or "Bathory"?  They had a shitty tinny  untalented sound on purpose to achieve an ugly atmosphere that matches lyrically what they were creating and writting about and also what they looked like aesthetics wise.Black metal is not punk but the idea of creating a "raw" sound is very similar. If Venom had a sound like Defenders Of The Faith it wouldn't be fucking "Venom" now would it? No.

I do NOT like very much punk rock at all yes a few that I really like, but not very much at all, most of it sucks to me but I even know "why" they sound like they do,I know that they are not trying or claming to be "talented". It shouldn't be "this hard" for you to understand, maybe thats why it baffles my fuckin brain Dale.

Yeah I know you were not "criticizing it" jimmy and yeah I know what it means:In Latin, the text “JESUS OF NAZARETH, THE KING OF THE JEWS” would have been written, “Iesus Nazarenus Rex Iudaeorum.” Abbreviated, this phrase results in “INRI.”  I got the "punch line" and the joke as well.

Venom's best albums are the first 4 from 1981 to 1985 Welcome To Hell,Black Metal,At War With Satan and Possessed. The other 2 albums by Venom that are very good are 1996 "Cast In Stone and 2000 "Ressurection". Those are the 6 best Venom albums of all time, the rest I wouldn't really recommend.

I like Bathory's first 4 albums,1984 "Bathory" then "The Return" and then 1986 Under The Sign Of The Black Mark and the classic 1988 album "Blood, Fire, Death . But when "Twilight Of The Gods" came out in 90' or 91'   thats when I didn't care for Quorthon's music anymore,it just wasn't "Bathory" to me anymore as the sound and style changed to drastically.

Celtic Frost used to be very cool with thier first 2 albums 1984 "Morbid Tales" and 1985 "To Mega Therion" but after that they fell apart going into a very commercial non-like-Celitc Frost style.By the time Vanity Nemisis came out they were already "terrible" in my opinion.

The best King Diamond albums in my opinion are Fatal Portrait,Voodoo and The Puppet master, but thats the only 3 albums I really like by the King, the rest are just not my thing.  These are the albums from Venom,King Diamond,Celtic Frost and Bathory that I would recommend you playing on your radio show rather than any other releases from these bands. The albums that I mentioned are the band's best albums in the eyes of many old-school fans from back in the day, just an observation and of course an opinion but a damn good opinion! lol!

I wasn't criticizing it. I.N.R.I is the inscription on the cross, it stands for Jesus of Nazareth King of the Jews or something. It's just the punchline to an old joke that it actually stands for I'm Nailed Right In. Actually quite like Venom, played one of there songs on my last radio show. King Diamonds pretty cool too, always liked Fatal Portrait and Conspiracy. Even had a couple of Bathory albums on cassette, Blood Fire Death and another one called Twilight i think. Have to dig them out and have another listen to them, if i can find a cassette player, they're pretty hard to come by these days. Actually thinking about it had a Celtic Frost cassette as well called Vanity/Nemesis, try to find that too.   [Show/Hide Quoted Message] (Quoting Message by J.D. Again, good job Meltdown!!

(lol!) Yeah its probably nothing that floats your boat jimmy, but these bands are the elite classic black/death metal bands of the 1980's,these are the Godfathers of extreme metal. There was nothing before "Venom" only "punk" and of course traditional heavy metal like our own Judas Priest, but for extreme metal ....nope,there was nothing before Venom.

They created "black metal" and also the term "death metal",speed metal and thrash metal...it was all Venom. The media quicky labeled anything "satanic" as "black metal" in the early 80's and thats what it became, even old Mercyful Fate like the debut album and Melissa,Don't Break The Oath albums were considered "black metal" even though King was playing heavy metal music wise, but because of the heavy satanic theme it was called "Black metal" and looking back on it now rightfully so.

At that time there was no band that supported corpse paint as King Diamond did with his satanic beliefs. Venom created black metal but it was Venom,Mercyful fate and Bathory are the 3 bands that made up the early black metal scene of the 80's along with bands like Hellhammer,Celtic Frost and Sarcofago as well. Some of these bands like Venom,Bathory,Sarcofago didn't play guitar solos in some of thier songs but the majority had them, while a band like Hellhammer didn't play solos at all, just rhythm guitar assult and it wasn't because they didn't know how to play solos, and it wasn't the record company telling them not to play any because of a "trend" like the early 90's grunge scene,it was an "underground"  attitude of agression, thats it...no other reason.

Just like the old punks not playing solos,it wasn't designed for technical guitar solo players at all,it was to cater to the underground rivit heads into non-popular music, every track didn't need a glamourous "guitar solo" but they still played some, just not every track.People who can't understand this are nothing more than "morons". Its like bashing the Ramones for not playing "solos"?? lol! But these bands were "classic underground" elite bands from the awsome 1980's. Toxic Holocaust's song "Nuke The Cross" plays tribute to this genre and they do it well, very well.

Sarcofago - INRI - 1987 Total influence on the norwegians who would later support the second wave of black metal in the early 90's. Venom,Bathory,Hellhammer were the influence that Sarcofago upheld at this time. Total "CLASSIC METAL" from the 1980's with yet again no guitar solo in this track.

Bathory formed in 1983. Ha! 1983? HaHaHA!! Thats too funny! That guy can't sing heavy metal any better than the other video you posted. Sounds like that was recorded in a garage or something. Whats so funny is that just about anyone could sing that. Where's the good guitar solo? No way these guys can compete with the masters like Iron Maiden and Black Sabbath. HaHa! Too funny. This Black Sabbath video is what real  metal is all about with excellent vocal talent, excellent guitar work. Good guitar solo. Much better than that tinny sounding Bathory.  Here's stage four for you.  #4. The guitar solo is on of the main elements of heavy metal.

HAHAHA!! Ah,people like you are a dime a dozen idiots...I'll give it to you in 3 stages here.....First off your not even qualified to be talking to the ranks of somebody like me and yes I say this with arrogance towards you because this is the only thing someone like you could possibly understand.....

Second.....I'd be rich right now if I had a nickle for every time I explained "metal" to those who are irrelevant to this elite genre but I'm only doing this to expose your stupidity and embarrass you in front of the others wich you rightfully deserve for your obvious unworthy comments since the only thing you care about is "Iron Maiden".

Third.....Take a look at what shirt the singer is wearing first off...its Bathory's first album 1984,the vocals totally pay homage to Quorthon(Bathory R.I.P.) and the flame spitting is also a tribute to "Quorthon" of Bathory as he used to do this as the Norwegians took this up like Abbath from Immortal so your a dumb fuck for asking.

A real old-school fan would know this and where is the guitar solo in the opening track "Hades" on the first Bathory album dipshit?? There isn't one because not every track HAS to have a guitar solo and this was the philosophy back in the early to mid 80's way before the pop-cultured shit bands like Nirvana chose not to use guitar solos because they didn't know how to play them or the record company told them not to because of the latest "trend".

Bands like Bathory would occasionaly pumble a song all the way through with NO solo sometimes upholding the philosophy of the 70's punk like Venom sometimes used to do. Where is the "guitar solo" in Breaking The Law?? There isn't one so I suppose Judas Priest sucks because they didn't play a freakin "guitar solo" like Iron Maiden would of? Psfffff what a joke.

So your attempt on dogging Toxic Holocaust for not playing a "guitar solo" failed miserably, your making yourself look like an idiot that you are so thanks for opening up your mouth and removing all doubt dumbshit. Go back to your Iron Maiden thread and shut your mouth,if you ever want to disscuss "metal"  with me,do your homework first fanboy.

 As you were....

Hey Diamond, thats just a little over the top if you ask me. The flame spitting and all. lol! Thats decent instrumentation but that singer doesn't have much vocal talent if you ask me. Anyone could sing like that. No guitar solo. This doesn't even start to compete with classic 80's metal in my opinion.

Hell yeah hellrider crank it!!!!!!! Yeah  Metallark these guys have the "old-school" scene flowing through thier viens, they uphold the "image/aesthetics" along with the sound of the 80's with bands like the old-Slayer's first 4 albums from 83' to 86' and Bathory's vocals,Sodom...ect...this is what "metal" is all about, they roll thrash, speed.death into one and again with thier image is stating that they hail the 80's and are saying fuck off to new-nu-aged metal scene.

This is what I've been preaching for YEARS and still am.Whenever some "DIPSHIT" tells me "image doesn't mean anything" I slam this philosophy down thier fuckin throats with a passion as I know I'm right.Hail the 1980's!!!!!!!

How many perfectly good albums have "christians" burned in the name of the almighty God!
God, let those individuals have "god given" talent to creat such music, and I really doubt "God" would be much offended by any of it.
I get so tired of self rightous bible thumping maniacs who seek to condem anything they do not outright enjoy.
Not long ago there was some email going around on the internet that stated to send cards to a poor sick child. I checked it out on Snopes and the family had asked a long while ago for the mailings to stop, and yet a uber "christian" I worked with, even after I showed her the printed request from the family for the mail to stop, became hostile with me and went and posted Her erroneous email at the timeclock and asked all to participate. Does that make her doing God's will? NO, that makes her a selfish bitch who wants to justify her right to "feel good" Bullshit!

I agree with you there Priest Hammer - Christians do tend to read too much into things! I went to Catholic school for 12 years and in 7th grade, my music teacher took it upon herself to try to "save my soul" from the likes of Judas Priest heavy metal. HAAAHAHA! Well, you can see how that turned out, can't you? Anyway, she made us all write out the words to one of our favorite songs and then write what the song was about. Since we all were taught to read something and then interpret it as a whole body of work, that is what we all did. She told us all that we were wrong and we were supposed to interpret it word for word. We argued that you take it out of context that way (DUH!) but it's the only way for them to prove the point that they want to make. I wrote out Bloodstone and You Got Another Thing Coming, just to see what she could come up with. She couldn't find anything wrong with Bloodstone (and it killed her!) and she said YGATC was Satanic because of this line: One Life, I'm gonna live it up. Her comment was that they don't believe in eternal life and so it is Satanic. Ummm.... yeah, OK. She also told us that Def Leppard was Satanic because of their name - they are mocking Jesus because he cured the DEAF and the LEPERS....... So at the age of 12, I realized that not all adults were more intelligent than 12 year olds!

Amen...Gloom and doom is all it's about. I like the Vincent Price analogy. A kind and gentle man that made a decent living playing out the darkside in his many roles. The Sci-Fi connection absolutely. Stephen King is not inherently evil, but man can he put the evil to pen.

Yes, I saw it. I actually thought it was cool to listen to Painkiller backwards! LOL!!! All the bullshit that that "fair weather preacher" was reading into the messages, though, THAT was more than over the edge. The comments that followed (and I read every one) were really into the two camps that almost inevitably form: those that bash him and those that blinldy follow.

One of the reasons I never posted that vid here. By definition, the "fair weather preacher" only preaches in fair weather. I have been on many a college campus when you have someone such as that idiot in WAY over his head trying to shout down a Dr. of Theology to no avail. Their whole point is to garner attention, not to necessarily be proven "right" in their (silly) assertions.

Cool video, though. Were it not such BS, I'd even post it. I do NOT believe Priest have ever been "evil." Quite the contrary, I have always drawn great inspiration from  them. From personal experience, I have always known Christians to be one of the most intolerant groups around. Sad, but true. Here I now live in the "Bible Belt" of the USA and think far more should practice what they preach...PREACH! (sorry, couldn't help putting a song into it. LOL!).

I understand what you are trying to say here Priest Hammer at least 70% of "heavy metal" music deals with the"dark side" not all of it,but alot of it and they read too much into it your right. Its a show just like Vincint Price (actor )used to play an evil character in most his movies but he wasn't evil, its a movie just like what heavy metal bands write about like Hellrider,Demonizer,Deal With The Devil...I know that Rob Himself probably believes in christianity in one way or another but yet he still likes to induldge into the dark side of lyrics and songs because theres something thats cool about writting about the devil and the pit of hell,demons,evil..ect....

I know you don't like to hear this but its true(haha) theres just something thats cool about the darkside vs. a band like Stryper singing about good and god/jesus...thats just not "cool" its not "agressive" where as singing about evil is,its just the way it is in metal...again not all songs are about the devil and hell ect..

I know this, there are upbeat and positive sides to heavy metal as well, but only about 30% ...if we go back and try and disect Priest's discography we would find that 70% of all thier songs are leaning towards the darkside because "thats what is cool". I am not a christian and I strongly do not believe in god  but I have many friends that do believe..ect...its all good, but I even know that when they write about the darkside its just  a show but its cool!!!!! lol!!!

If Priest took out all the evil shit like Hellrider and Judas Rising,Sinner,Ripper,Genocide,Grinder,Hell Is Home(lyrics) it wouldn't be Judas Priest. You may say these songs are not "evil" but you know what I mean and what I'm saying they lean towards the darkside because the darkside is cool.

Did anyone catch the YouTube video "PopCulturePastor" slamming Judas Priest for 'reverse' Satanic leanings? From a Priest fan point of view it's actually cool to watch... most way through the 9+ minute clip it plays the Painkiller track backwards! But it throws in other things like verses from Priest and Bible verses to block.

For myself I find it to be a load of crap because I'm a Born Again Christian and a Judas Priest/Heavy Metal fan. I know the difference between Satanic lyrics from Science Fiction based heavy metal lyrics. Rob writes very much in a sci-fi way because he's a fan of it himself.

I hate saying this, but my brother Christians read too much in to all that. They can't seem to seperate fantasy from reality so they bash what they don't understand.

If you want to find this clip on YouTube go to Rob's Acceptance Speech in the news section and it should come up over there.

lol! The speed tempo in that track "The Menace" is what I was talking about, with sped up tunes like this inbetween the slower paced tracks makes an album more interesting by far,it actually makes the slower paced tracks more interesting.Thats what Heaven & Hell should of done with  the"The Devil You Know"  album instead of settleing on all mid-paced tracks, they don't have one fast type of track on that album and I think that it hurt it. Not that your trying to keep up with Black Sabbath or anything, but for other heavy metal listeners I've always noticed that they like a mix of fast songs within an album, they don't all have to be fast but with 10 songs on an album they want at least 5 of them fast and the other 5 can be slow or mid-paced.Just an observation.

Sounds like this is very well put together and interesting formula. This isn't a comment of critisism at all as your songs are very worthy, but I've been DYING to hear something from somebody that is "fast"  or relatively  kinda fast like Electric Eye or Freewheel Burning,or fast the speed of the song "Hell Bent For Leather"....are you guys planning on creating a few faster style of songs for the album? Again, not a comment of critisism because I'm saying that your material has some good formula by all means,I'm just one of those heavy metal fans that craves a couple of speedy songs,I'm a Motorhead(speed freak)!!!! lol! Well I was not thinking of doing it Metal anyway. My band is more straightforward rock. You know, Van Halen re-did "Pretty Woman" and it was not that bad. I think Cara Mia would be pretty cool if it is done right. By no means does that mean making it a "Metal" tune. That would just not work. I am thinking of dropping the key and upping the tempo a bit on it.

Hmm... I don't think it'll be easy to do a cover of one of those songs. You're definitely right about upping the tempo. It would probably destroy the atmosphere of the song. Maybe you should look for examples first, but I don't know a single metal band that has covered a crooner song!
