Hello to all our priest fans around the world!....Well our touring is now
completed for 2005 and what a great year it has been....the end of year
shows saw the mighty Priest visiting Ukraine, Russia, Estonia, Latvia and
Lithuania for the very first time..it was an exciting adventure for us
and our fans who had waited such a long long time for us to perform
live in those countries - and we thank you for welcoming us with such
fervour and giving everyone a memorable experience.
'Angel Of Retribution' went straight to your hearts and your feedback on
the priest site and in the media for our renuion release made us very
proud indeed....we couldn't wait to roar out around the planet and share
with you the best metal concerts night after night....so now as the
holidays approach we wish each and everyone of you a wonderful safe
and peaceful holiday season where ever you may be and thank you again
for your loyalty and dedication for the priest..keep the metal faith
alive! 
To celebrate our recent Eastern Europe leg of the Tour we have decided to do a limited number of 'Russian'

New release date for Rising In The East DVD in the U.K. 23rd January 2006
Glenn, Ian, some of the crew and I all had a great day out in Moscow - checking out all the tourist sights - the Kremlin, Red Square, Lenin's Tomb, St. Basil's Cathedral etc. - we had a lot of fun and then had a great meal in a Russian restaurant - our guide Sasha (friend of Jo Lee's) was full of really interesting stories about Russian history - we all thoroughly enjoyed the day even though it was absolutely freezing!! Release dates for the new Judas Priest DVD 'Rising In The East' vary throughout all Territories - this is the information I have so far:
We have been informed by Rhino Entertainment that the Judas Priest DVD 'Rising in the East' will be released in the USA and Canada on 15th November 2005,
Japan new release date is 21st December 2005 and in the Rest of the World on 16th January 2006.

The band from the second series of the tv show ROCK SCHOOL - who are calling themselves HOAX UK - have just landed the gig of a lifetime! Selected as the opening act for Metal Gods JUDAS PRIEST in Long Beach, California as part of the 'Priest Feast' triple bill that also includes Rob Zombie and Anthrax, the band will make their national debut in front of some 8000 people October 30th at the Long Beach Arena. ROCK SCHOOL , which is one of VH1's most successful shows, has become somewhat of a pop culture phenomenon as legendary Kiss bassist Gene Simmons shows fledgling musicians how to rock out, heavy-metal style! Check them out opening for JUDAS PRIEST on 30th!!
Judas Priest were really knocked out to have been given the 'Metal Guru' award by the English magazine 'Classic Rock' -
this is given to Artists that have 'Defined and shaped the world of Metal' -
the awards ceremony was on Tuesday night at the Cafe De Paris in London and I was very proud
to have been asked to pick up the award for the Band as they were on tour in the US -
it was a very special night!!
The streaming audio interview with K.K. Downing by Metal Express Radio has

listen to it on-demand. It's on the front page ... and is very easy to
locate.
On October the 4th Judas Priest are to win the Metal Guru Award at the in-augural Classic Rock Roll of Honour Awards. We are to give Priest fans a once in a lifetime chance to tell the band what they mean to them, this content will be edited and shown on the screens at the Awards. We will be recording fans views this coming Wednesday in a central London venue in the early afternoon. If you want to attend please ring (+44) (0) 208 962 8255 asap!! (by midday Tuesday 27th). We are very pleased to announce the following dates -
a continuation of the Judas Priest Retribution 2005 Tour:
I've just returned from being out on the road with the Band for the past week in Mexico -
we had a fantastic time and the shows were great -
the Mexican fans really know how to show their appreciation of Judas Priest -
they were going wild!!
We are very pleased to announce some more dates on the second leg of our US/Canadian Tour.
Due to some unforeseen scheduling conflicts that have arisen with the venue we have had to withdraw from the show
in Pittsburgh on 24th September and it isn't possible to reschedule at this time as the building won't be open
due to bad weather later in the season.
We are very sorry to those fans we have disappointed.
Hopefully we'll be able to make it back to Pittsburgh at some time in the future!
More dates added for the North American Tour - Second Leg 2005.
We are very pleased to announce ANTHRAX as special guests on the second leg of our US Tour - they will not be on every show - but most of them!
Please see below the corrected confirmed North American Tour Dates - as soon as we confirm more we'll announce them! Sorry for any confusion!

There appears to some confusion about what I have said to fans
about backstage passes - the backstage area is a working area for us - however,
of course we have people backstage - whether it is record company personnel,
retailers, radio, press or tv people, endoresment personnel or the band's
personal guests - what I am saying is that it is not possible to issue passes to
every fan who writes in (and I do get hundreds of emails every day asking for
them!) - no matter how we try and control the backstage area there are always
people who will let fans through whether they are connected to the support act
or venue staff - they do not get their passes from us - unless they
are authorised by us! Of course the guys will say hello to fans if they see
them backstage - they always have time for their fans!
South America Tour - Sept 2005
I have just flown back from Japan with the Band where they played to really amazingly enthusiastic audiences throughout - they blew the roof off at the last two shows at the Budokan in Tokyo!! Every show was fantastic!! We all had a really great time together and want to thank the Japanese fans for their loyalty and support!!
The Band have just started their tour of Japan - the first show went incredibly well!!

We are being asked by many fans if they can 'buy passes to the meet & greets that will be held at the venues' during our US tour - please note we have not agreed to any general meet & greets at venues and nor have the venues!! -

JUDAS PRIEST Announces U.S. Tour Dates For Summer 2005 to Promote
the New, Critically Acclaimed Hit Album ANGEL OF RETRIBUTION
Please be a little bit patient and understand that the world is a very big place and trying to set up shows worldwide takes time!!!! We can't be everywhere all at once!!
We are very pleased to announce our US dates in full as listed here - Special Guests are Queensryche.
Unfortunately, we will not be able to reschedule our show (which was cancelled by the Polish government due to the death of the Pope) in Katowice at the end of this leg of the tour - due to prior commitments this really isn't possible.
We are very disappointed that this show had to be postponed but totally understand that this was done out of respect to the Pope but will definitely come back just as soon as we can!!
Once we have a confirmed date we will announce it here on our website!!
We are very pleased to announce our US Tour Dates.
Due to the very sad passing of the Pope the Judas Priest show in Katowice on Wednesday 6th April has had to be cancelled - this is totally beyond our control - the President of Poland has declared all entertainment venues must cancel their shows in respect of 5 days of mourning for the Pope.
We will of course try and reschedule this show at a later date - once we confirm any details we will announce them here.
Things are going incredible well on the tour - the band have just finished two weeks of shows in the UK - it was great for them to play in their own country again! It's been many years since they've had the pleasure of doing that together!!

JUDAS PRIEST frontman ROB HALFORD was invited to meet HRH The Queen along with 500 other people from the Entertainment Industry on Tuesday 1st March, 2005. This special evening reception at Buckingham Palace in London had been arranged to recognize the excellence of British music and its contribution to the culture and economy of the U.K.
ROB flew over specially from Finland where he is on tour with the band to fly the flag for Judas Priest at this royal reception!
